BBXO is back: coming this friday: a new single & video by BBXO "Sabotage". stay tuned !
"Hi all. We - BBXO - have been quiet for a while, but we have got something to say again: and, after all, there are some things that you can really only say with music. So, on Friday, we will be releasing a single and video for “Sabotage”, our new song about how it’s okay to feel broken.
There are plenty of songs out there which will encourage you to be relentlessly positive, and this is not one of them. We wrote this song for all the people who have had so many bad things happen to them that they have become afraid of happiness: and so, every time that they are offered a chance at happiness, they sabotage it.
From personal experience, we know that the first step towards a happier life is to stop being ashamed of your mistakes: because if you are ashamed of hurting yourself, you will keep doing it, and you don’t deserve that. We wrote this song to say: though we may not understand what exactly you are going through, we understand what it feels like the very thought of moving forward feels exhausting. Part of what has helped us is to laugh at ourselves, so we hope that you’ll do that with us too, and that you’ll enjoy it. See you Friday."
