Secrets - The Funky Herbie Hancock
Live am Mi., den 10. Juni im Nica Jazz Club, Hamburg, 20 Uhr

Es wird funky! Unter der Leitung von Magnus Lindgren und John Beasley bekommt Herbie Hancocks legendäres Album „Secrets“ ein Update mit der SWR Big Band!

Dass Lindgren und Beasley genau wissen, wie man solche Klassiker neu zum Leben erweckt, haben sie bereits bewiesen: Ihre Produktion „Bird Lives“ – eine Hommage an Charlie Parker mit der SWR Big Band – wurde sogar mit einem Grammy ausgezeichnet. Jetzt richten sie den Blick auf Herbie Hancock – und bringen seine funkige Klangwelt mit der Wucht und Präzision der SWR Big Band auf die Bühne.

Dieses Konzert verspricht nicht nur musikalische Exzellenz und lotet die Grenzen des Jazz raffiniert aus – vor allem nimmt es die Zuhörer*innen mit auf eine Reise durch Herbie Hancocks funkige Klangwelten und bereitet jede Menge Spaß.
