Neue Gäste im Gästezimmer!

AFTER SUMMER

Wenn der September vergeht, neigt sich der Sommer seinem Ende zu. Diese Zeit in Erinnerung rufend, haben vier in Hamburg ansässige Künstler*innen eine Ausstellung im Gästezimmer von Imagine The City kuratiert.

Die im Kalender als "Sommer" bezeichnete Zeit, steht für die heißesten Stellen des Jahres. Unsere Sinne intensivieren sich, während wir inmitten der drückenden Hitze schwelen.
Vielleicht ist sie eine poetische, ja extreme Form der Liebe, oder doch ein tiefes Selbstmitleid und Ku**er.
Vielleicht führt sie zu einem Aufruhr,
Vielleicht zu einem Ausbruch roher Gefühle, begleitet von Blut, Schweiß und Tränen.

Aber unabhängig von dem Drama, das auf der Bühne stattfindet, gibt es immer Diejenigen, die in aller Ruhe Alles dokumentieren - wie ein Paar Augen, das durch ein Fenster blickt.

Die vier Künstler verwenden verschiedene Medien, um ihre Gedanken zu dieser Jahreszeit auszudrücken, manchmal subtiler, manchmal expliziter. Mit ihrer einzigartigen künstlerischen Sprache laden sie diese unzähligen Sommermomenten ein: "Verweile doch."

Jetzt Kicherradio hören – produziert mit dem ITC Funkfahrrad! Entstanden ist das Projekt beim „KLIMASTRÖME - das Fest der Elbe“, Kunst- und Forschungsfestival von, mit und für Kinder das erstmalig in Hamburg auf Entenwerder 1 im Juli 2023 stattfand.
Im Radioworkshop sammelten Kinder gemeinsam mit Liv Neumann vom HALLO: Radio (link) mit unserem Funkfahrrad Soundschnipsel, führten Interviews und kreierten ihre eigenen Songs. Das Ergebnis könnt ihr hier nachhören: https://soundcloud.com/hallo-radio/klimastromeradio-das-kinderradio-von-der-elbe

Listen to Kicherradio now - produced with the ITC radio bike! The project was developed at "KLIMASTRÖME - das Fest der Elbe", an art and research festival by, with and for children that took place for the first time in Hamburg on Entenwerder 1 in July 2023.

Mit diesem Kultur-Einsatzfahrzeug können von überall live Sound- und Video gesendet werden. Verschiedene Module zum Aufnehmen, Streamen, Abspielen und zur Stromversorgung werden mit dem Cargo-E-Bike von XYZ-Bikes transportiert und schaffen Kulturerlebnisse an allen möglichen und unmöglichen Orten.

With this cultural emergency vehicle, live sound and video can be broadcast from anywhere. Different modules for recording, streaming, playing and power supply are transported by the cargo e-bike from XYZ-Bikes and create cultural experiences in all possible and impossible places.

Einen Sommer lang bespielte Annika Kahrs das Baakenhöft und den historisch bedeutsamen Ort um den Schuppen 29. Zusammen mit ITC machte sie das letzte unverplante Areal der HafenCity erstmals seit 2017 öffentlich zugänglich: Tagsüber konnte das Publikum einen rund 80-minütigen Soundparcours mit Kompositionen von zehn Hamburger Musiker:innen individuell erlaufen.
In der Abenddämmerung startete eine 14 Meter breite Projektion mit anonymisierten Textfragmenten, die Sonnenuntergänge an verschiedenen Orten heraufbeschwören. Ein Video der Arbeit findet ihr auf unserem YouTube-Kanal.

For one summer, Annika Kahrs performed on Baakenhöft and the historically significant site around Schuppen 29. Together with ITC, she made the last unplanned area of HafenCity accessible to the public for the first time since 2017: During the day, the public could individually walk through an approximately 80-minute sound course with compositions by ten Hamburg musicians.
At dusk, a 14-meter-wide projection started with anonymized text fragments that evoke sunsets at various locations. A video of the work can be found on our YouTube channel.

Für die erste Folge unseres neuen Podcasts STIMMEN DER STADT haben wir Akteur:innen nach ihren Visionen für die Zukunft des Ortes befragt. Die planerische „Leere“ provoziert kreative Ideen und alternative Visionen für das Zusammenleben auf der Halbinsel und den Sprung über die Elbe.

Voices of the City – Visions for Baakenhöft

Baakenhöft is the last unplanned area in Hafencity and the desires for the prominent tip of Baakenhafen are quite diverse.

For the first episode of our new podcast VOICES OF THE CITY, we asked players about their visions for the future of Baakenhöft. The planning-related „emptiness“ provokes creative ideas and alternative visions for habitations on the peninsula and the leap over the Elbe.

Produced on the occasion of the exhibition how to live in the echo of other places by Annika Kahrs at Schuppen 29.
