"Weaver" is a local multiplayer family game for touchscreens, available on iOS, Android and Windows Store. Start weaving now!

"Weaver" is a family-friendly local multiplayer game for touchscreens. Players simultaneously weave webs around branches and leaves with their cute spiders to catch insects and to collect points. As a modern board game it brings the whole family together at one table. The game was developed using the Unity3D game engine, with much emphasis put on a realistic and simple weaving of the webs. All 3D

objects and animations were created in Autodesk 3ds Max and Maya. Due to a short development period, several time-saving techniques have been applied: Reuse of models such as leaves and fruits, metaballs to represent snow, movement of the spider with CAT and others. "Weaver" reached the final round of the Intel App Innovation Contest 2013 as one of five games worldwide.

Hey Folks! Kommt dieses Wochenende zur Jahresausstellung der Burg Giebichenstein! Dort gibt es Weaver zum anschauen und zum ausprobieren (und es gibt iPad Promo Codes ^^) und es gibt natürlich viele weitere tolle Projekte, zB unsere Semesterarbeit Dinner Time, und andere großartige Arbeiten aus dem Bereich Design und Kunst! Wir freuen uns auf euch :)

We made a poster about Weaver's technology: "Real-Time approximation of convincing spider behaviour", which got accepted to this year's SIGGRAPH in Vancouver.

So there will be the next presentation... yay!

Oh, and it also got chosen for the ACM Student Research Competition.
