In this editorial project, all five self-scored concert works by George Gershwin will be republished as scholarly Urtext editions, basing on the autograph manuscripts. With this new edition we want to make the "real Gershwin" available - all five works are performed in revised, arranged or re-orchestrated works in the very most cases without any notes on their status of their authenticity. A lot o

f these changes are heavily. The new edition wants to show that Gershwin was a gorgeous orchestrator who was not in need of dubious revisions. B-Note Music Publishers will publish these works:

An American in Paris
Second Rhapsody
Cuban Overture
Variations on „I got Rhythm“

We will start in June 2014 with the "I got Rhythm"-Variations and finish the series in 2015 with the Concerto in F.
