When launched their new table designed by I got to design and produce the menus and place cards. Hand-lettered text on cotton paper, using traditional dip pen and ink. I used black ink as well as a custom-mixed ”Nest Blue” ink colour. Thank you for letting me be a part of this!

Handwritten calligraphy for to highlight the beautiful collaboration with interior designer

We chose a walnut-brown ink to complement the warm colour palette of the invitation

Every day I get to work with handmade cotton paper and letterpress printing is a good day!

Such a highlight to go for a mill tour at Gmund Paper and see how all the paper is made. They still use a machine from the 19th century, and there’s even a dedicated team only producing replacement parts (!)

The beautiful burgundy paper I often use was being produced while we were there. My main focus though, was making sure my trench coat didn’t get caught in the machines 🙃

I went on such an inspiring trip to the Gmund paper mill in Germany. I got to explore and talk with exhibitors from the industry, see the newly released colours and listen to panel discussions.

In addition to all the interesting work-related happenings, did I mentioned I woke up to the sound of cowbells, ate (size large) schnitzel and felt like I was walking around in The Sound of Music? I will do my very best to come back soon
