„Ivy“ centres on a looping motif, with live tenor saxophone by Kemal Ergün and trombone by Doga Toparlak. Both are Cloudsurfin’s bandmates in an Afro-jazz project. Guitars, keys and understated drums round out the arrangement.

Cloudsurfin‘ is the project of Istanbul-based producer, composer and multi-instrumentalist Dogan Can Vural. Following „What Kind of Blue“ and „Undercurrents“, „Birds and Flowers“ returns to his jazz-inflected beats, with contributions from musicians in Istanbul and Berlin.

Few names are as closely tied to chillhop and lofi as Wun Two. Chopped samples, simple drums and bass form the calm, nature-inspired beats he connects to the forests around his childhood home.
