TOPS CEBU: The Historic 360-Degree Lookout
Originally opened on New Year’s Day in 1985, TOPS has served as Cebu's premier observatory deck for over four decades. Perched 2,000 feet above sea level, it has long been the go-to spot for locals and tourists to witness the sprawling, glittering skyline of Metro Cebu and Mactan Island. Recently transformed into a world-class lifestyle complex, the redeveloped TOPS Cebu beautifully merges the old with the new. While it now features "The Circle" a vibrant five-story dining and lifestyle hub with diverse restaurants, a petting park, and even overnight lodging it proudly preserves its historic roots. The iconic stone arches, hexagonal tile patterns, and the famous historic bell remain intact, ensuring that the legacy of this beloved viewing deck lives on for new generations to enjoy 24/7.
TEMPLE OF LEAH - Cebu's Own Taj Mahal: Just a short distance away stands the majestic Temple of Leah, a grand Greco-Roman-inspired sanctuary that has captivated visitors since its construction began in 2012. Built by Filipino businessman Teodorico Soriano Adarna, this grand structure is a profound monument of eternal devotion to his late wife, Leah Villa Albino-Adarna. Originally conceived as a dedicated space to safely preserve and showcase his wife's massive lifelong collections of books, antiques, and European art, the family's private repository quickly evolved into one of the country's most celebrated cultural landmarks. As you walk through its massive Doric columns, grand granite staircases, and past the 10-foot-high bronze statue of the matriarch, you are walking through a real-life testament to a love story that spanned more than 53 years.
