I’m honored to share that my film “ a Suitcase Memory” will be screening at the 16th Edition of the Karama Human Rights Film Festival 2025 in Amman, Jordan, and has been nominated for the Karama Feather Award for Best Animated Film.
When I created this experimental film, I wasn’t thinking about festivals or awards. My intention was simply to share a fragment of the Syrian tragedy and preserve a small piece of memory before it disappeared. Throughout the years of the Syrian uprising, the film served as a witness—exactly as I hoped it would.
This year, it is presented under the festival’s theme: “The Human Rights Bank”, a reminder of the urgent need to safeguard our dignity and fundamental rights in a world shaped by wars, collapse, and growing challenges.

يشرفني مشاركة فيلمي “ذاكرة حقيبة” في مهرجان كرامة – سينما الإنسان في دورته السادسة عشرة لعام 2025 في عمّان، الأردن، وترشّحه لجائزة ريشة كرامة لأفضل فيلم تحريك.
حين صنعت هذا الفيلم التركيبي، لم أفكّر بالمهرجانات أو الجوائز. كل ما رغبت به كان مشاركة المأساة السورية وحفظ جزءٍ صغير من الذاكرة قبل أن يتلاشى. وعلى مدى سنوات الثورة، قام الفيلم بدوره كشاهدٍ على الوجع والإنسان.
هذا العام يُعرض الفيلم ضمن ثيمة المهرجان: “بنك الحقوق الإنسانية”—سؤال مفتوح حول كيفية حفظ كرامتنا وحقوقنا الأساسية في عالمٍ مليء بالحروب والانهيارات والتحديات.
