Two performers spend 24 hours together in a closed theater space, which they are not allowed to leave. During this time, they develop a dance performance (at least 24 minutes in length) that is presented live on stage one hour after the completion of the 24 hours. Throughout the 24 hours, the audience is welcome to be present in the auditorium to observe, interact with the performers, and provide input for the performance. Viewers can also join via live stream on YouTube, interacting with the artists via chatroom.
At the end of the presentation, there will be a discussion with the artists and the creator of the dance format, Raffaele Irace.
MIRIAM MARKL is a freelance movement artist based in Mannheim. She studied dance in Nuremberg and Mannheim and has completed further
training in the Art/Life Process by Anna Halprin. As a dancer she has worked with Lillian Stillwell, Catherine Guerin and many others. She was a guest dancer at the Heidelberg Theatre and Orchestra and the Stuttgart State Opera.
With her own choreographies, she wants to create spaces for new experiences of togetherness and invite people to discover the unknown.
This dance production is part of FREI:GETANZT, a new dance series supported by the Kulturamt Stadt Frankfurt am Main.
