Title Timeless Sea Breeze Serie 2. 枕海听风系列
Material 30x40cm pastel paper and soft pastels. My own reference.
In this painting l spent quite some thoughts on how to simplify the rugged cliffs, yet still show the reality. Painting the color of the sea and sky was really fun!! It brings me back to the time when we went hiking along the Portugal coast. This is not the typical composition, but l don't care! LOL

I am starting a new series of ocean scenery. It will cover the subjects on clouds, cliffs, waves,etc. It will be fun!

We went to the lovely Christmas market in town. The beautiful mystical lights caught my eyes. I try to recreate the atmosphere.

This one took me quite a long time to finish. Love not only the process of putting in enough details and subtle shades of colors, but also simplifying the objects.

1。Accepted into the 2024 International Association of Pastel Societies Juried Exhibition - 45th Open Division.
2。Won Honorable Mention award and two paintings accepted into the 2024 8th PURE COLOR International Juried Exhibition from Pastel Society of North Carolina.
3。Accepted into the 2024 Degas Pastel Society 20th Biennial National Exhibition.
4。Accepted into the 2024 International Association of Pastel Societies Juried Exhibition - 44th Open Division
5。Three paintings accepted into the 2024 Dust Off International Juried Exhibition from Pastel Guild of Europe.
6。Accepted into the 2024 6th annual Make Your Mark International Juried Exhibition from Pastel Society of Southern California.
