We adopted 2 surrendered sows from two different pet stores near us the beginning of September. After noticing the initial size difference between the girls and watching her grow larger by the week, we now know that Muffin is quite pregnant.
My concern is that we were told by the store, that the family who surrendered her said she was about 1-1.5 yrs old.
I’ve researched guinea pig pregnancy for days on end because we are new owners and I want to be sure I’m doing everything right.
Based on what I’ve read, sows over 8 months of age tend to have a more difficult time with birth and can sometimes require c sections and/or not survive a natural birth.

Does anyone have experience with this!?
Will she be okay to go it on her own?

I’ve looked for exotic vets in my area and am not having much luck, especially with one who will do c sections.
I’m so worried for her and the babies!
Any/All advice is welcome 🙏
