has canceled thousands flights this week, which made chaotic, so as my trip to Berlin to join . Fortunately, the staff help me to exchange my flight ticket to a train ticket. So I take a longer trip to Berlin (well, but I like train trip. It reminds me I am now in Europe.) and I need not to wait for 10 hours in Frankfurt.

Here I come, Berlin, again! And I am looking forward to seeing these amazing peoples, to exchange and to share.

終於都安坐於去柏林的火車上。聽聞漢莎航空因事故取消了上千班機，其中一班正是我將要乘搭的那一班。萬幸最終安排我改乘火車到柏林，那我可以坐坐火車，又不同在法蘭克福等十個小時了。

柏林你好，我(再次)來了！讓我好好跟這群好人們交流碰撞。

I experienced the boom of household laptops when I was small, and I had to access the world wide web through a 56k modem. There was still a clear between celebrity and layman.

Thanks for developments of social media, we are now in an age that I always feel like myself as a stranger. I am always amazed by my students, how free and comfortable they are in front of a camera and share their own personal lives onto Facebook and IG (and so many platforms that I don‘t even know the name). Everytime when I join a video-conference, I am still annoyed by my own self-awareness in front of the we**am.

explored his idea about how we are caged by Others‘ gaze in “ ( )”. Now we go one step further and replace our own self-perception with how Others see us. Peer Gynt‘s quest to be “True to thyself” becomes a lifelong challenge to this and the coming generations.

「他人即地獄」？

我讀小學的時候正值家用電腦普及，連接互聯網仍是要透過 56k 路由器，而且名人與大眾之間仍有著清晰的界線。

多得社交媒體的發達，讓我總自覺是這個時代的怪人。看到學生們可以如此鬆容地站在鏡頭前並上載到Facebook 、IG (或者更多我已叫不出名字來的平台)，我仍是會驚訝。而每次要開視像會議，我總為著在鏡頭前如此自覺的自己而感到煩擾。

#沙特在《無處可逃 (No Exit)》中探討我們如何成了他者凝視下的「囚徒」。而我們更進一步以他者對我們的看法取代自己的真實覺知。看來培爾．金特那「做回真我」的尋求，會是這一代人及後代們最大的挑戰。

Because of Peter Brook, once again I opened “Systems of Rehearsal”, a book comparing the rehearsing systems of Stanislavski, Brecht, Grotowski and Brook. As a dramaturg, how can I contribute to such a relational art piece like this coming project in October, ‘Sunshower‘?

After my study in Zurich, I have been back to my hometown, Hong Kong, and my friends asked me if I would stay in Hong Kong. My answer is always yes, and then I am going to Berlin to join in the coming July with my new project . As I have experienced in Zurich: to stay or to leave is always not a real question, and the real question is, “Where do my heart belongs?”

I am so happy to share that, a new research project of decolonising (Hong Kong) theatre can finally come true. Since my study in Europe, I was so fascinated by the concept of decolonising theatre. Is theatre a western concept? Or this concept itself is a western concept? We don’t know but we will start our journey to find it out.

Here I am again. Long time no audition, I mean as a director. Such a long day sitting in front of the screen to do auditions with all such talented actors and actress to be. Anyway, who say I cannot do audition during self-isolation?

Well, last week I told my friend from Summer School, that I am working on another performance right after my Diplomprojekt and started to write my thesis. They were shocked, and then I say: “Well, I brought the way how we work in Asia to Europe.”

I know it is a stereotypical thing, but somehow stereotypes contain some truth.

So what do you expect when some asians are making a performance in Switzerland? Come and see if we fulfill your expectations.
