"It was an eye-opening experience. With the other volunteers, we were able to make the festival from scratch, listening to each other’s suggestions, working with and for the community in Detmold, and creating a great environment for us to work in. I met incredible people who were there for me when I needed them the most, and I truly think that the best part about all of this is making everlasting memories and connections with people who live all around Europe."

🇬🇧 Yesterday marked the end of our volunteering in Detmold and the Lebenshilfe project; today, we are already on our way. The time to leave the city has come and gone; now we are moving in a new direction with all the great memories and experiences we’ve gathered. Thanks for everything, Detmold!

Gestern endete unsere Freiwilligenzeit in Detmold und das Lebenshilfe-Projekt; heute sind wir bereits unterwegs. Die Zeit des Abschieds liegt hinter uns; jetzt ziehen wir mit all den schönen Erinnerungen und Erfahrungen im Gepäck weiter in eine neue Richtung. Danke für alles, Detmold

🇬🇧 Last night, we were at the historical Alte Pauline in Detmold. We continued working to bring a great party to life and enjoyed the night in this way. A huge thank you to everyone, to the whole team, who made this possible. Personally, throughout this volunteering journey where I’ve tried to capture the soul of Detmold in my frame, my camera has always been pointed the opposite. Today, as the project draws to a close, we’re making an exception.

🇩🇪 Gestern Nacht waren wir in der historischen Alte Pauline in Detmold. Wir haben weitergearbeitet, um eine großartige Party ins Leben zu rufen, und haben den Abend auf diese Weise genossen. Ein riesiges Dankeschön an alle, an das gesamte Team, die das möglich gemacht haben. Ganz persönlich: Während dieser Reise als Freiwilliger, bei der ich versucht habe, die Seele Detmolds in meinem Bild festzuhalten, war die Kamera immer nach außen gerichtet. Heute, kurz vor dem Ende des Projekts, machen wir eine Ausnahme.

🇬🇧 We spent the day at the editing desk, organizing the footage for our Lebenshilfe project. After finishing our session, stepping into the quiet night streets of Detmold helps us reconnect with the city’s true character. The silence of these historic houses under the lights provides the perfect inspiration for the work that awaits us tomorrow.

🇩🇪 Wir haben den Tag am Schnittplatz verbracht und das Material für unser Lebenshilfe-Projekt gesichtet. Nach der Arbeit tut es gut, in die nächtliche Stille von Detmold einzutauchen und die Atmosphäre der Stadt aufzusaugen. Der Anblick dieser beleuchteten Fachwerkhäuser gibt uns die nötige Energie für die anstehende Arbeit.

🇬🇧 Today was all about editing. While our filming in the streets of Detmold continues, we took some time to sit down at the editing suite and start organizing our footage in Premiere Pro. We are piecing together the moments we’ve captured for the Lebenshilfe project and building the first flow of the story. It's a balance between field work and post-production.

🇩🇪 Heute stand ganz im Zeichen des Schnitts. Während unsere Dreharbeiten in den Straßen von Detmold weitergehen, haben wir uns heute Zeit am Schnittplatz genommen, um das Material in Premiere Pro zu sichten. Wir fügen die Momente, die wir für das Lebenshilfe-Projekt eingefangen haben, zusammen und arbeiten am ersten Entwurf der Geschichte. Ein Wechselspiel zwischen Set und Postproduktion.
