We warmly invite you to our upcoming exhibition „Ressorts“ by Jessica Tille.

Opening: Thursday Sep. 3, 2026 | 6 - 9 pm
Running from Sep. 4 - Oct. 1, 2026

In ‘Ressorts’, the multilingual ambiguity of the term is taken as a starting point and layered upon one another. While in French it refers to a mainspring or a driving spring, the English word ‘resort’ denotes a place of rest and regeneration. In the Nexus Nails shop window, Jessica Tille explores how time and body can be interconnected, measured and reimagined through technology.

The center of the exhibition is the mainspring of mechanical watches: tightly coiled metal strips that store energy through tension and release it in a controlled manner. The spatial extent of the spring remains invisible when it’s coiled. Movement, time and distance initially exist as tension before they unfold and become spatially accessible. Even in the early days of mechanistic bodily science, the movements of organs and tissues were thought to be driven by internal ‘springs’.
Even in the early days of mechanistic bodily science, the movements of organs and tissues were thought to be driven by internal ‘springs’.
This connection between the body and technology is making a return today. In biohacking and digital self-monitoring practices, sleep, activity, heart rate and circadian rhythms are recorded, analysed and used to optimise recovery. The body is rendered legible through temporal data and, at the same time, becomes an adjustable model. This process can lead to a recreation of the body – to a second body made of data. Thus, in ‘Ressorts’, Jessica Tille situates the body within a temporality between stored movement and measurement; between exhaustion and regeneration.

Insights of our current show „TIP OF THE HIDDEN“ by Julia Wilczewski & Herbert Willems.

The exhibition is running until August 27, 2026 and visible 24/7 through the shopwindow. 🏔️🤍

Julia Wilczewski and Herbert Willems bring their collaborative artistic practice at Nexus Nails together, presenting works that explore the boundaries of ordinary perception. In „Tip of the Hidden“, the hidden repeatedly presses toward the surface without ever fully revealing itself.
Hybrid beings like a creature that is part mole, part human, or an anthropomorphic mushroom bearing partially human sensory organs, inhabit the shop window. Each is following its own inner necessity.
For both artists, material is not merely a means to an end but a counterpart in dialogue. Form emerges through the dialogue with the material itself. The hidden is never fully revealed; it continually intimates itself while remaining elusive.

Warmly invitation to our upcoming exhibition „TIP OF THE HIDDEN“!

July 31 - August 27, 2026
Opening: July 30, 2026 l 6 - 9 pm

Our current exhibition „Remote Inner Castle“ by Julia Jesionek is running until 10th July 2026.

Thank you for the amazing opening and exhibition 🤍🏰🐛🌹

Remote Inner Castle“ aims to reveal the permanent internal tension between intuition and rationality.
Through the contrasting protagonists - the Princess and the Maggot - Julia Jesionek creates dreamlike scenes and portraits in Nexus Nails, using painting and digital animation. Motifs of a castle recur throughout the exhibition: vines, ornaments, stately architecture, and the princess’s interior. Jesionek refers to a metaphor by Lacan, who describes the human psyche as a fortress full of boundaries, fractures, and conflicts.

The shopwindow is visible 24/7, come over! 🎀

The exhibition „the unnecessary familiarity made me dislike it at once” by Lillith Sachsenhauser is still ongoing until May 30, 2026!

twists familiar materials from everyday life, transforming their original meanings.
Objects she associates with social interaction, cosiness or family structures are removed from their original context and appear at Nexus Nails with an ambivalent function and interpretation.

Homemade noodles meander through the shop window like roots or hair, creating a moment of abjection.
In physically fragmented works, her childhood home appears between the stretching threads. Views of satellite images of the house, researched online, symbolise the feeling of proximity and distance. The longing for a familiar place is alienated by its removal and decontextualisation.

The exhibition is visible through the shopwindow 24/7. 🤍

We are excited to announce our upcoming exhibition:
„The unnecessary familiarity made me dislike it at once“
by Lillith Sachsenhauser

Opening: April 30, 2026 | 6-9pm

The exhibition is running from May 1st - May 30, 2026

In her first solo exhibition, “the unnecessary familiarity made me dislike it at once”, Lillith Sachsenhauser twists familiar materials from everyday life, transforming their original meanings.
Objects she associates with social interaction, cosiness or family structures are removed from their original context and appear at Nexus Nails with an ambivalent function and interpretation.

Homemade noodles meander through the shop window like roots or hair, creating a moment of abjection.
In physically fragmented works, Sachsenhauser’s childhood home appears between the stretching threads. Views of satellite images of the house, researched online, symbolise the feeling of proximity and distance. The longing for a familiar place is alienated by its removal and decontextualisation.
The ambivalence of the familiar in new circumstances leads to a sense of estrangement from the things themselves.
From the engagement with the familiar, a life of its own emerges from material and memory.
