"Empty" by Anna Homan as part of the project "At the table", Premiere on 13th of April and online at www.atthetable.art

It’s a war. Is there some kind of a future? What is “the Table” for a person that had to flee? She had to leave her home, her memories, and the “prepared” family table. It’s empty now. Even she doesn’t sit there anymore. How can she create “the Table”, and make it full, without being? Is it even possible?
She goes to her documented family history to see what the Table looked like at that time. To find an answer. To find help. Or maybe hope. Hope in asking her grandmother how she created her table after the war. How to be happy in circumstances.

Anna Homan is an Ukrainian artist that is looking for her way to live through film directing, theatre, photography and more. She studied film directing at Kyiv Karpenko Kariy University, and lived and worked in the capital till the beginning of the war. Now she found her temporal home in Berlin. Anna’s art consists of reflections of inner thoughts through reality/past/documentary and future which is now unbearably questionable.

Der letzte Feinschliff steht an - die Texte hängen schon dank Klebemeister Tom von Funky Foil.

Heute ab 17:00 kann die Videokunstausstellung in der Heinrich-Heine-Allee U-Bahn Station angesehen werden, um 19:30 Uhr ist die Vernissage mit Live-Performance von Matts Johan Leenders - Eintritt frei!

The project "At the Table" has been with us for quite some time already, yet working together over borders and during a pandemic needs a new level of communication. Amazing to finally see everyone live in one place, even if it is a video call!
