„In gewisser Weise ist Shannon Barnetts neues Album „How Much is the Moon?“, das als Grundlage für ihr Signature Projekt dient, das Ergebnis einer Suche nach sich selbst. Hier kulminieren etliche Gedanken der letzten Jahre, aber auch Bekanntschaften und Freundschaften, Beziehungen; dazu gesellt sich die nachgerade existenzielle Frage, was überhaupt „Zuhause sein“ bedeutet.” (Lars Fleischmann).
Für das personell größte Projekt des Festivals konnte Barnett das EOS Chamber Orchestra gewinnen.

Samora Pinderhughes belongs to a young generation of singer/songwriters in the USA. His songs are multi-stylistic, sociopolitical and aesthetically diverse, combining jazz elements with pop, rock and folk.

⭐️ Niels Klein has already shared many moments with us as a soloist, composer, and arranger for the orchestra. We are really looking forward to playing a piece from the recording we did with him in 2019: ‚Exploring Objects and Shapes‘
 
⭐️ who combines the expressive power of jazz with traditional styles of his native land Argentina, thus creating a unique sound.

The program for our concert at Stadtgarten is made up of pieces that various great guest artists have written and performed with us over the last few years.

Here we introduce two more bands / artists who will be with us on April 21st

⭐️ Kathrin Pechlof Trio: , ._.weidner, .landfermann

Kathrin Pechlof is a harpist and composer who works with her trio at the interface of contemporary improvised and composed music, contemporary jazz and other forms of creative music.

In 2017 and 2019 she was invited to compose for her trio and the EOS Chamber Orchestra Cologne and to perform the works several times. We are very happy to be on stage with the trio again!

In 2019 we recorded Dreamt Twice, Twice Dreamt

Dreamt Twice, Twice Dreamt paints fascinating musical panoramas, inspired by the composer’s dream worlds, characterized by Laubrock’s ability to compose and the individual colors and shades of the soloists.
We play one of Ingrid’s composition again on Sunday.

Exciting news ahead! On april 21st, join us as we celebrate the 15th anniversary of EOS Chamber Orchestra!
At this special concert we share the stage with many of our guest artists with whom we worked with in the last years.

Interactive interplay meets chamber orchestra: we had the pleasure to record with Pablo Held Trio in 2022 alongside Nelson Veras. We play some of the music from the record „Adventures“ at the april concert.

⭐️ : We played with great Frank Wingold in 2013/2014 and recorded a CD called „Additions“. We‘re happy to play this music again.
