Michal Šinka is a guitarist, recording artist, producer, copyist, Berklee grad, and economist. Born and raised in Slovakia, he discovered his passion for music at the early age of six. By the age of eighteen, he had obtained a solid formal classical education as well as considerable performing experience. However, his passion for contemporary music led him out of the nest - at first to Prague, and

later to Boston as a scholar at the acclaimed Berklee College of Music, where he continued to fine-tune his musical direction. Classical guitar music combined with jazz, Latin and pop music has become Michal’s signature sound on stage and his productions now comprise virtually any music genre, from orchestral works to electronics. Currently, Michal focuses on live playing, studio recording, and production of music for media.

🎧 The sound of a genie trying to escape a lamp in Apple Picker started with... a metal cup. 😄

This video shows a few of the recordings I captured and how they ended up in the final sound effect used in the game.

The funny part? The cup is actually a prize I won back in 2019 during an online bootcamp for audio freelancers, where I led the winning team and received the Best Team Leader Award. Seven years later, it finally found its true purpose. 🧞‍♂️🍎
