What are you doing on holiday? 😃

I’ve just figured out where to fit in a NEW GROUP for younger children, aged 7 to 10.

First, I need to discuss the changes with the teenage group on Tuesday, so we can move it half an hour later.
But if everything works out, I’ll have a children’s group again from August!!

The Creative Studio 7-10 y.o. will be in German and English – during the class, we’ll be learning a bit of English, while doing art 😃

And now we're in the Schwarzwald and this place is awesome!

Add green to orange?? What?? Yes, and to red too. And vice versa. Complementary colours ‘tone down’ the intensity of the colour and become more subtle and interesting.

And I’ve also found the perfect jars for jam (crossed out) paint!!

On Fridays at our Friday Art Club, we paint with acrylics on canvas. And I try to prepare pre-mixed colours so that participants can focus on the composition and, of course, interacting with each other ♥️

OK, if I wait until everyone has finished their projects, I’ll never get round to publishing them!
Our (now slightly older) children’s groups have started their architecture classes. For the first project, we chose something simple – LETTERS! Everyone knows exactly what letters look like, so this is perfect for getting started with ‘designing houses’. Here are the results of our work. A special thanks to Chiara the cat for her help (in the last photo. The younger children were working there too; Rafael usually works with all the groups, especially the older ones, and Asol was happy to join him).

I have a confession: I don’t know how to "do" Instagram, and I honestly don’t enjoy it.

I constantly forget to take photos of our work! It’s just so wonderful during the lessons that I’m completely absorbed in the process and can’t think about anything else. Forgive me! 🙏

But I can tell you what we’ve been up to:

🎨 Junior Groups (9-12 years): We created interactive illustrations with alpacas. This week, we are talking about Heraldry. It’s a whole language where every detail means something—it’s fascinating! We are currently developing personal coats of arms. Up next: making board games and then... 18th-century hairstyles!

🏛️ Teen Groups: We’ve dived headfirst into Architecture. The first project is turning a word or a name into a residential district. Since they know the letters well, it’s easier to place them in 3D. Next, they’ll choose from 7 different themes to create their own architectural project and scale model!

🖌️ Academic Art Groups: We are currently working on layered painting techniques, with everyone creating their own original project. Our next task is painting candlesticks. This is instead of calligraphy—it’s designed to "set" the hand and teach how to draw incredibly fine lines.

✨ The Friday Club: No changes here—everyone is absolutely happy!
