STURM IM KOPF?

Was beschäftigt eine junge Generation, was macht ihr Angst, was macht sie wütend, wonach sehnt sie sich?

BRAIN STORM fragt nach dem Lebensgefühl und dem mentalen Befinden der jungen Generation. Gemeinsam mit unseren Partnern, dem Teatro Stabile del Veneto – Teatro Nazionale und dem Teatrul Național Marin Sorescu Craiova, haben wir Workshops in Padua, Craiova und Bonn durchgeführt; aus diesem Material hat die italienische Autorin Marta Dalla Via gemeinsam mit uns das Stück entwickelt. Shakespeare liefert dazu Assoziationen – denn seine Universen sind voll von Figuren, die an Herz und Seele leiden.

Regisseur Frank Heuel bringt diesen Text im Bühnenraum von Annika Ley mit Laura Maria Babaian (IT) und Mihnea Presură (RO) der DJ Sofi Rex (IT) und einem Chor von ehemaligen Workshop-Teilnehmenden auf die Bühne: wild, rasant, leidenschaftlich und zärtlich.

Ein europäischer Theaterabend über die Stürme im Kopf – und darüber, wie eine junge Generation auf die Welt blickt, in der wir alle leben.

Noch ist es die Ruhe vor dem Sturm:
VERONA → BONN 🌪️ BRAIN STORM nähert sich!

Autorin Marta Dalla Via erzählt über die Arbeit an BRAIN STORM – Sturm im Kopf und ein europäisches Theaterprojekt, das junge Stimmen aus drei Ländern zusammenbringt.

💫 Am Samstag, 12. September, feiert BRAIN STORM Premiere in Verona. Direkt danach reist das internationale Team weiter nach Bonn. Dort trifft es auf den deutschen Chor aus ehemaligen Workshop-Teilnehmer:innen – und eine intensive gemeinsame Probenwoche beginnt.

Playwright Marta Dalla Via talks about the work on BRAIN STORM – Sturm im Kopf and a European theatre project bringing together young voices from three countries.

💫 BRAIN STORM premieres in Verona on Saturday, 12 September. Right afterwards, the international team travels on to Bonn, where they will meet the German chorus of former workshop participants for an intensive week of rehearsals.

💫 One week later, it’s premiere time in Bonn!

⚡WAS PASSIERT IN EUREN KÖPFEN, wenn alles um euch herum immer herausfordernder wird? - Inspiriert von Shakespeare widmet sich BRAIN STORM den Stürmen in den Köpfen junger Menschen.

Aus mehrtägigen Workshops mit über 50 Menschen zwischen 18 und 28 Jahren in Bonn, Padua und Craiova entsteht ein europäischer Theaterabend über das, was die junge Generation bewegt und herausfordert – und darüber, wie sie Kraft, Mut und Zuversicht findet.

Gemeinsam mit der italienischen Autorin Marta Dalla Via entwickelte Regisseur Frank Heuel mit einem jungen internationalen Ensemble und einer Live-DJ eine Performance zwischen Shakespeare, Musik und den Stimmen junger Menschen.

⚡WHAT'S GOING ON IN YOUR MIND when the world around you becomes more and more challenging? - Inspired by Shakespeare, BRAIN STORM explores the storms in the minds of young people.

Based on a series of workshops with more than 50 participants aged 18 to 28 in Bonn, Padua and Craiova, this European theatre production explores what moves and challenges today's young generation – and where they find strength, courage and confidence.

Together with Italian playwright Marta Dalla Via, director Frank Heuel, a young international ensemble and a live DJ have created a performance that brings together Shakespeare, music and the voices of young people.

OUR COMMON GARDEN – getting into the soil 🌱

Every garden begins with preparation.
The workshop began with an inspiring introduction to the ideas of landscape architect Gilles Clément. From there, we started collecting texts, questions, associations and perspectives. What followed was an open and lively exchange across countries and disciplines.

Just two days later, we met in Riga, where we were warmly hosted by our colleagues from the Latvian Academy of Culture for three inspiring days. Together we explored artistic methods, discussed possible scenarios for working with young artists and scouts and, perhaps most importantly, discovered new questions to guide the next steps of our journey.

The garden is slowly taking shape – not through ready-made answers, but through curiosity, dialogue and collective imagination. 🌿

OUR COMMON GARDEN _ first seeds 🌱

This spring, the project leads of OUR COMMON GARDEN met for the first time at the fringe ensemble's rehearsal space in Bonn.

It started as a kick-off meeting. Or so we thought. A few hours later, something had changed. As you can see, a group of project partners had somehow turned into a community of gardeners.

That's exactly what OUR COMMON GARDEN is about: imagining Europe as a shared garden – a place where different experiences, cultures and perspectives don't simply coexist, but grow together.

Over the next one and a half years, together with partners in Riga, Padua/Venice and Vilnius, we'll create performances, installations and encounters across three cities.

Stay with us. This was just the beginning. 🌿

GRANT HOLDERS MEETING in Brussels - Two full day meetings of peer exchanges, open discussions, policy updates, discussions on project management issues and collective reflection.

A truly powerful event to share experiences, strengthen partnerships and explore new ways to make an impact through culture. The event brought together representatives of all creative europe cooperation projects from all over Europe.

Annika Ley was there and represented OUR COMMON GARDEN, which we are realizing together with the Latvian Academy of Culture, Riga (LV), the Teatro Stabile del Veneto, Padua/Venice (IT) and the Faculty of Communication Sciences at the University of Vilnius (VU) this year and next.
Annika got talking to numerous other cultural figures from across Europe, was spoilt for choice given the countless opportunities to exchange ideas, and returned with a wealth of input, many new impressions, ideas and inspiration.

Dieses Zitat ist Ausgangspunkt für die internationale Theaterproduktion HOW TO DEFEND THE UNCERTAIN des fringe ensemble. Was bedeutet Unsicherheit für Dich? Wie lernen wir sie zu akzeptieren, statt sie zu bekämpfen? Wie wird Unsicherheit zum Antrieb?

FÜR DIE RECHERCHE UNSERES THEATERPROJEKTES SUCHEN WIR SCOUTS ZWISCHEN 18 UND 28 JAHREN, DIE LUST DAZU HABEN IM JUNI & JULI 2026 MENSCHEN IHRES ALTERS ZU TREFFEN, IHNEN FRAGEN ZU STELLEN UND GESCHICHTEN AUS IHRER PERSPEKTIVE ZU SAMMELN.
