Extras: Chili, baguette, wraps
Taste: 5/5. This was served on my best friend’s funeral. I miss you Christoph, we will play Kniffel sometime later again 🖤

Obela Bio Hummus Classic 🇳🇱

Appearance: Hummus looked a bit dry inside the packaging but ended up being good. On the package wrap bio is marked with BIG letters
Texture: Perfectly smooth and fluffy, not too thick
Producer: Unknown / Netherlands
Chick pea-%: 57%
Weight: 150 grams
Price: 1,99€ (Edeka)
Extras: Scrambled eggs, fresh fruits, bread (breakfast time!)
Taste: 3,9/5. A great purchase from a supermarket, small plus also because it’s bio. Tahini is in a good balance with the chickpeas and the hummus is not too bitter. Small minus from a smaller amount of hummus. Another minus from not telling the origin of the hummus.

I Kouzina Mou Hummus 🇬🇷

Appearance: Yet another cheap packaging, not really inviting me to buy it but I had no other option
Texture: Thick-ish paste with some grains
Producer: Ambrosia E.P.E.
Chick pea-%: 47%
Weight: 250 grams
Price: 1,29€ (Greek Lidl)
Extras: Pita bread, Alfa beer
Taste: 3,0/5. Slightly bit too much tahini, although better than first tasting the vinegar that is also unfortunately included. Price-quality ratio is definitely good, but I’m not looking that much forward for the next round, unless it’s my only option. Alfa beer tasted so good that it might have had a positive effect on the grade

Iviskos Hummus 🇬🇷

Appearance: Packaging looks cheap, but hummus inside not that bad. Serving suggestion picture is weird as it contains all the ingredients separate but not the actual end product
Texture: Mainly smooth but has every now and then harder (raw?) grains

Chick pea-%: 28%
Weight: 250g
Price: 1,91€ (Greek supermarket)
Extras: Kalamata olives (very good ones), pita bread and fresh cucumber
Taste: 1,8/5. A bad imitation of the greatest food in the world. This weird paste contains vinegar, which never should be used in hummus. Chickpea-% also only 28%, makes me only wonder what they used in it. Serving suggestion picture is now understandable because it would taste much better to eat plain chick peas and sesame seeds and flush it down by drinking olive oil straight from the bottle

Beirut der 70er Berlin 🇩🇪

Appearance: Plate combined with all the extras looks delicious but could have been presented in a prettier way
Texture: Pretty grainy, would have needed to be mixed for a longer time
Price: 3,9€
Service: Friendly and smiling. Table was dirty but was cleaned fast after our arrival
Extras: Not separate, all on top of the hummus. Radish, 1 pepperoni, 2 olives, slice of carrot, tabouleh and pomegranate seeds. Also Arabic bread and mango ayran.
Taste: 3,7/5. Texture is too grainy and the hummus needs a bit more tahini, now tastes pretty much just of chickpeas. Not sure if tahini was used at all. Bread was not selfmade but small plus from it being warmed

deli dip Hummus Koriander 🇦🇹

Appearance: Cute packaging describing the contents with pictures of chickpeas, sesame, lemon and coriander. Hummus inside looks promisingly good.
Texture: Good texture, smooth enough. Maybe somewhat sticky and heavy.

Chick pea-%: 69%
Weight: 250g
Price: 2,49€ (Edeka)
Extras: Bread, polish pickles and self grown tomatoes
Taste: 4,0/5. Yet another good basic supermarket hummus. Koriander on top is delicious (if you happen to like it). Goes well with extras but is a bit heavy to be eaten alone.

Ifantis Hummus Original 🇬🇷

Appearance: Packaging looks a bit cheap and isn’t that attractive but hummus inside looks tasty. Plus points for a proper sized portion.
Texture: Creamy, soft, perfectly smooth
Producer: Ifantis S.A.
Chick pea-%: Unknown
Weight: 400g
Price: 2,44€
Extras: Pita, fresh cucumber and olives
Taste: 4,4/5. This one has directly #1 spot within supermarket purchases. Absolutely delicious, great texture, has it all. Maybe a tiny bit too much tahini but not that it’s bothering. Need to fly back to Greece to get more of this.
