**MEET THE HEBREWS #1 | LEA GOLDBERG**

Poet. Novelist. Scholar. Translator. Children’s author.

**Lea Goldberg (1911–1970)** was one of the great voices of modern Hebrew literature — a European-born writer who made Hebrew her literary home and helped shape the culture of a language being reborn.

🎬 **THE FIVE HOUSES OF LEA GOLDBERG**

The first film in **THE HEBREWS**, Yair Qedar’s documentary project about the writers and thinkers who created modern Hebrew and Jewish culture.

Through five houses and five chapters of Goldberg’s life, the film combines rare archival materials, poetry, music, animation and intimate memories to tell the story of an extraordinary woman and her language.
