Alina Hsu is SAI’s youngest young artist and a rising sophomore at New Canaan High School, where she is actively involved in musical theatre. She has appeared in school productions of Legally Blonde and You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, and continues to grow as a versatile young performer. Alina studies voice with Joe Santaniello at Santaniello Vocal Studios and has been training there for the past two years. Prior to that, she studied with Amy Williams at the Manhattan School of Music Pre-College Program, where she also took music theory and additional musicianship classes.

This year, Alina participated in a masterclass with Joshua Conyers during his visit to Rising Stars Performing Arts and previously completed a beginner IPA and diction class through the program. In addition to voice, Alina is an accomplished instrumentalist, having studied cello for six years and piano for ten years, and has been accepted into multiple honors and elite ensembles for both instruments. Outside of music, Alina volunteers at the Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk and is a passionate animal lover. She is thrilled to join the Summer Arts Intensive Berlin 2026 and looks forward to meeting her fellow artists while exploring and creating together in a new city.

Sebastian Reinoso is from Norwalk, Connecticut, and is a Pre-Professional Company Member at Rising Stars Performing Arts. He recently committed to Emerson College, where he will pursue a BFA in Theatre & Performance (Acting Track).

His notable credits include Crutchie in Newsies at BMHS, for which he earned a HALO Award nomination for Best Featured Male Role in a Musical, as well as Wadsworth in Clue and Nick Marson in Come From Away. His work with Rising Stars Performing Arts includes Alan in Picnic, the Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz, and the Bishop of Basingstoke in Jekyll & Hyde. In addition to his theatrical work, Sebastian is a drummer, served as a Tenor Section Leader through the Choral Scholars Program at St. Paul’s on the Green, and has participated in RSPA’s annual student-devised, written, and produced productions for the past three years.

Sebastian attended the Marymount Manhattan College Summer Pre-College Program and has studied voice with Joe Santaniello at Santaniello Vocal Studios for the past four years. He is thrilled to spend the summer in Berlin training with RSPA faculty and looks forward to collaborating with fellow artists from around the world.

Katie Donahue is from Norwalk, CT, and has been heavily involved in the arts since the age of five. She has just completed her first year at the Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford, where she is majoring in Music Education with a voice concentration. She studies classical voice at Hartt with Mr. Troy Cook, a current Metropolitan Opera performer.

Before college, she studied voice with Joe Santaniello of Santaniello Vocal Studios for four years. During her time at SVS, she explored a wide variety of repertoire, developing versatility in both classical and musical theatre styles. Katie is also a proud alumna of the Rising Stars Performing Arts Pre-Professional Program, where she trained intensively for four years in voice, acting, dance, and musicianship, helping her become a well-rounded performer and musician.

Outside of RSPA and SVS, Katie was involved in her high school’s theatre program for three years and participated in choir throughout all four years, including two years in chamber choir. She has also attended numerous Connecticut Music Educators Association events and conferences, earning placement in the CMEA Western Regional Choir three times and the CMEA All-State Choir twice. During her sophomore year, she had the opportunity to perform a solo at the All-State Conference.

Katie is now a proud member of the Hartt Chamber Choir and was one of only seven first-year students to successfully audition into the ensemble. She is excited for the opportunity to continue growing as a performer in Berlin this summer and feels privileged to travel abroad with such a wonderful group of artists.

North Alabama native Max Foreman
is a baritone currently studying at the Eastman School of
Music in Rochester, NY. They have performed roles including covering The Outlaw/Luther
Harlowe in Christopher Cerrone’s In a Grove, covering Arkel in Debussy’s Impressions of
Pelléas, and Lord Tirsi in the new opera 24 or, The Cure for Love by Tony Boutté, and will
perform as Dr. Falke in Strauss’s Die Fledermaus this spring. They participated in the Sewanee
Summer Music Festival where they performed in two scenes from Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro
and a scene from his Die Zauberflöte. They won the vocal chamber music competition at the
Sewanee Summer Music Festival, as well as winning and receiving The Friedrich and Virginia
Schorr Award in The American Prize High School National Art Song Division, winning 2nd place
in the Schmidt Vocal Competition Georgia Regionals, and making semifinals in the CS Music
Nationals and the Schmidt Vocal Competition Nationals, where they also received an

Autumn Stanley is an Arizona-born soprano currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance with a minor in Musical Theatre Performance at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee. There, she studies with mezzo-soprano Sandra Piques Eddy, and participates in the Fenway Opera Club. Some notable roles of hers include Audrey (Little Shop of Horrors), Sandy Cheeks (The SpongeBob Musical), and Gabrielle (Cinderella). Autumn has also had the honor to be 1st Place Senior Division winner of the 2023 Upscale Singers Classical Voice Scholarship, 1st Place winner of the 2024 West Valley Chorale Young Singers Competition, and to have received Best Performer in a Musical at Boulder Creek High School (2024). She is thankful and thrilled for the opportunity to perform, expand her repertoire, and collaborate with peers and new friends in Berlin!

Sean Tagariello, a bass-baritone from Norwalk, Connecticut, is currently a rising
third-year at The Juilliard School in New York City for his Bachelor’s of Music in Vocal
Arts. He is a student of Kevin Short, and an alumni of Santaniello Vocal Studios. Sean is
also a proud graduate of the pre-professional company and college bound programs at
Rising Stars Performing Arts. Just this spring, he was a part of the chorus for Verdi’s
“Falstaff” at Juilliard, and a national semi-finalist at the Classical Singers vocal
competition in Boston (University Division). This year, Sean also joined the Royal Irish
Academy of Music for two joint recitals with The Juilliard School in both Dublin and New
York.

Along with classical voice and opera, Sean is a deep lover of musical theatre and
straight plays. At RSPA, Sean was able to explore and develop himself in a variety of
areas ranging from The Pirate King in “The Pirates of Penzance”, Alan in “God of
Carnage”, The Baker in “Into the Woods” , and The Leading Player in “Pippin”.
Sean is also a graduate of Norwalk High School, where he appeared as Robert Martin
in “The Drowsy Chaperone” and Race in “Newsies”, both of which earned him a Halo
Award from the 7 Angels Theatre in Waterbury, CT. Sean also joined the CMEA
Western Region and All State choirs during his time at Norwalk High School, and was a
cellist in the Principal Orchestra.

He is absolutely thrilled to be joining the Summer Arts Intensive this year, and cannot
wait to learn more about Berlin, make new friends, and share his artistry with everyone!

Evan Sercombe, hailing from McFarland, Wisconsin, is an undergraduate tenor and composer at the Eastman School of Music, where he studies vocal performance with Professor Katherine Ciesinski. Raised in a musical family, he has been engaged with music from an early age. He attended the Interlochen Arts Academy, where he premiered the role of William Sewell in William Banfield’s opera Edmonia. Evan has performed in a variety of ensembles and settings, most recently with the Eastman Chorale and Collegium Musicum, and looks forward to continuing his artistic growth in Berlin this summer.

Peicen Yan is a soprano from Shanghai, China. She began her vocal studies in 2013 and trained successively with Wei Xu, a former artist of the Shanghai Opera House, and Yunhui Ji, soprano of the Shanghai Opera House. During her school years, she was actively involved in musical theater and choral performance, participating in multiple concerts and productions as a member of her middle school musical theater club and the Pinghe High School Choir. In her senior year of high school, she organized and presented her first solo recital.
Peicen is currently a sophomore at Hamilton College, where she majors in Music and studies voice in the studio of Dr. Kay Paulsen. She performs in studio classes, musicales, and student soloist concerts each semester. Her operatic repertoire includes roles such as Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro, Papagena in Die Zauberflöte, and Despina in Così fan tutte. She is also a member of the Hamilton College Choir and the chamber ensemble Hamilton Voices, where she has served as Soprano Section Leader since January 2026. Recent performance highlights include major college events, choral concerts, and a choir tour of Scotland and Ireland. In 2025, Peicen won Second Place in her category at the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) competition held at Ithaca College. She also attended the 2026 NATS Eastern Region Conference and Competition, where she placed among the top five singers in her category and qualified for the National Student Auditions.
Peicen is excited to continue her journey in music and the performing arts. She looks forward to traveling to Germany for the first time, immersing herself in its rich artistic and cultural traditions, learning alongside wonderful mentors, and meeting talented new friends.

Sophia Gittings from Wellington, New Zealand just recently completed her first year studying Vocal Performance at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where she studies under the tutelage of Dr. Rebecca Folsom. Recently in her spring semester, she performed as Cendrillon in Pauline Viardot’s operetta Cendrillon, which was a highlight of her freshman year. For high school she attended Queen Margaret College, where she studied voice with Mark Stamper, and was an active member of her school’s premier choir. Sophia’s musical background is shaped strongly by New Zealand’s choral culture. She’s sung with both the New Zealand Secondary Students’ Choir and the New Zealand Youth Choir, performing nationally and internationally in China, England, Singapore, Denmark, and Wales. With the New Zealand Youth Choir, she took part in performances at the Llangollen Eisteddfod and the European Choir Games, where the ensemble received Top Awards, including the Pavarotti Trophy for Choir of the World. She’s been singing since the age of 6, and has been fostering her love for music, and dream to become an opera singer ever since.

Countdown to Berlin begins now! Join us as we spotlight our young artists each day!

Konstantina Gotouhidis is a 21-year-old soprano pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Applied Music (Classical Voice Performance) and Arts Leadership Certificate at the Eastman School of Music. An alumna of Santaniello Vocal Studios and Rising Stars Performing Arts, Konstantina is proud to be one of Joe Santaniello’s longtime students, a Company Pre-Professional alumna, and one of the first students to experience RSPA’s fully developed College Bound Program.

This summer, she joins Rising Stars Performing Arts’ Summer Arts Intensive Berlin as an Administrative Intern and Resident Assistant while also participating in the scenes program, including scenes from the Pirates of Penzance, in which she will be revamping her beloved role of Mabel that she performed with RSPA in 2022. In the fall, she will continue developing her arts administration experience through internships with Killer Queen Opera and Stratagem Artists.

As a performer, Konstantina recently appeared as Ida in Eastman’s production of Die Fledermaus and will perform the role of Adele this summer with Lyric Opera Studio Weimar. Her previous operatic experience includes performances in the choruses of Eastman’s productions of Dido and Aeneas and Ainadamar, as well as covering the roles of Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro and Adele in Die Fledermaus at Lyric Opera Studio Weimar. She also performed the role of Florindo in 24Opera.

Konstantina is passionate about combining artistic excellence with arts leadership and administration as she continues to build a multifaceted career in the performing arts.
