This is an outtake dating from the massive three-day photo session conducted for the promotion of Celtic Frost's first album in 14 years, "Monotheist". It shows Celtic Frost on the eve of the band's public re-emergence, evolved and aged, and yet conflicted and controversial as always. The concept for the photo shoot was devised by Martin Eric Ain and photographer and friend Jozo Palkovits, and the shoot took place in February 2006; partially at the photographer's studio off Hardstrasse in Zurich, Switzerland, and partially outside, on Käferberg, north of Zürich.
Exclusive: some of the various demos recorded during the work on the "Monotheist" album from 2002 to 2005, along with unreleased photos from the aforementioned photo session, are to be released on a specially curated album through Prowling Death Records/Century Media Records/Sony, tentatively scheduled for the first half of 2023.
