Jews! is a minori-tease cabaret and platform started in 2018 by Lo**ta Va Voom and Nana Schewitz.

In a bid to 're-Jew Germany,' Lo**ta and Nana are bringing q***r, subversive art by Jews and other marginalized groups to the stage!

Last but certainly not least, it’s none other than head Jew in charge, Lo**ta Va Voom!!

Lo**ta Va Voom is an internationally touring burlesque performer, producer, and teacher. She has enjoyed bringing her unique brand of high octane dance based burlesque to a diverse set of audiences including at the Stockholm Burlesque Festival, headlining Frankfurt’s Jewish Culture Weeks, Taylor Mac’s 24 Decade History of Popular Music, as a guest artist for Chappell Roan, and as the first burlesque artist to dance with the Jewish Chamber Orchestra. She produces Jews! Jews! Jews!, a q***r Jewish cabaret, as well as (st)Rip it Off, a q***r Neo burlesque show. She also helps to foster a new age of diverse burlesque performers as the owner of the Shimmy Shake School for Burlesque in Berlin.

Your hostest with the most green, it’s none other than Nana Schewitz!!!

Nana Schewitz is Berlin’s premiere 96-year Jewish grandmother (although some would assert she looks a dainty 69.)

A forever South-Floridian, this Judeo-Nonagenarian thumps it and bumps it in her traditional style. Fusing diabolical guilt with legendary comedy. Nana is sure to have you clutching your Chai’s as she force feeds you her world-renowned matzo ball soup.

Her performances can be seen around many bars and nightclubs around Berlin, as well as on the international theatre circuit. Nana is a member of the House of Presents drag collective, the Nana of the Haus of BuBu, co-producer of the cabaret Jews! Jews! Jews!, as well as a latex costume designer. Just remember, don’t f*ck your Nana!

For the first time on our stage we are thrilled to welcome Band Practice!

While completing their masters in physical theatre, Ash Willison and Lisa Ullrich decided to pursue their dream of being in a band, performing their collection of original songs instead of their theses. Thus, Band Practice was formed: a performance duo combining music, improv, clowning, and movement. They explore alternative comedy, testing the limits of known forms to create new ways of examining the world through humor. While they share similarities, Lisa (she/they) and Ash (all pronouns) are not related.

The Jews! Jews! Jews! are putting the hash back in Rosh Hashana! We’ve reconfigured the menorah b**g into Berlin’s biggest shofar b**g, and cordially invite you to our 5786th New Year show at Tipsy Bear to come take a puff. Get those final sins in before Yom Kippur (although we don’t believe in those…)

Berlin’s ultimate shayne punims, Lo**ta Va Voom and Nana Schewitz, along with an all-star all-meshuga cast, are ready to give you an evening of apples, honey, shofar blow jobs, and a q***ring of all your Bubbe’s favorite rituals. Jews and non-Jews, stoners and non-stoners are all welcome!

It’s TONIGHT!!!! Pre sales are closed but we will have tickets available at the door— we suggest arriving early so you don’t have to wait too long in line! We are expecting a big crowd and we know it’s chilly out there, we’re going to do our best to get you inside and warm as quickly as we can.
Some housekeeping notes:
We accept both cash and card at the door, we prefer smaller notes if you have them!
Please take a Covid test at home before you come, and stay home if you are feeling ill.
Please be aware of your substance consumption and that of those with you!
Hole’s security team is on site for any issues that may arise.
Doors for the evening are at 19:00, the show is at 20:00. We cannot wait to bring in the Hanukkah season and celebrate joy, life, resistance, and togetherness with you all.

Our headliner for our Hanukkah Extravaganzukkah is none other than the absolutely amazing Psychedelic Desert Funk sensation Jamila & the Other Heroes!!
JAMILA & THE OTHER HEROES is a Berlin based band from manywhere playing Psychedelic Desert Funk to make you fly. Leading the band is the vibrant Jamila Al- Yousef. Born in Berlin on the day the wall came down, and raised by her influential Palestinian refugee father, Jamila composes music with her Heroes to connect with transcultural audiences who can identify with the bands’ diaspora narratives and their musical fight against racism. “As people with families in Syria, Palestine, Italy and Colombia, we travel and create home within our music.”

Jamila’s emancipatory message in Arabic and English is supported by powerful live musicians. Let yourself be carried away by an incomparable sound of psychedelic guitar riffs (Leon Hast) , vibrating on a warm and earthy fundament of wavy bass runs (Felix ‚Fema’ Barth), Arab percussion sounds (Salam Alhassan) and Afrobeat, Hip Hop und Rock influenced drum beats (Pier Ciaccio).

The dance floor JAMILA & THE OTHER HEROES create is a breeding ground for people to meet and practice togetherness - the musicians’ response to the exclusion mechanisms of our time. The message of the band is simple: “All of us can be Heroes! Let’s discover our super powers and make the world a better place.“

It’s the head Jewess herself, none other than Lo**ta Va Voom!!
Classically trained as a modern, tap, and ballet dancer for fifteen years, Lo**ta decided to trade in her pointe shoes for pasties and hit the road! Originally from California by way of Seattle, Lo**ta now calls Berlin home. Lo**ta has been seen on stages across the world, including Helsinki, Malta, Tallinn, New York, and Los Angeles. Lo**ta is the first burlesque dancer to perform with the Jewish Chamber Orchestra at the historic NDR Rolf-Liebermann-Studios, and the first burlesque artist to dance in the MARKK Museum. She has also been a guest artist with Taylor Mac’s 24 Decade History of Popular Music, pop star Chappell Roan, and the Semperoper Dresden.
Lo**ta is the producer of Jews! Jews! Jews!, A minori-tease Cabaret, the only q***r Jewish-centric cabaret of its kind in Europe, which has been awarded multiple grants and toured throughout the continent. She also produces (st)Rip it Off, a q***r neo-burlesque show Panty, a FLINTA party both in Berlin. Lo**ta draws from her 15+ years of professional dance training for high energy, dance based burlesque performances with a creative flair.
