DEEP WAVES is the first performance of INNATIVE LAB. It mixes dance, visual and sound art with neurosensing and motion tracking technologies.

As some you know for DEEP WAVES we worked with electroencephalographic technology. A sensoric headband device registers the natural brain waves of the performer in different states. This data we use to generate interactive visuals, which reflect changes in the brain of the performer (Masha) throughout the performance. Apart from it we used motion sensor which reacts to different movements (Jose) and provides data for generative sound.
It is an exciting way of introducing technology into dance implying a close collaboration with different specialists. We are DEEPly thankful to our technical geniuses: Willi Döring / Neurofox (EEG headband), Clément Destephen (sound) and Yoann Trellu (visuals)!!
