Long time no see! If all goes well, we'll present a second season of "Nu? Yiddish in All Art Forms" in 2026. Meanwhile, to tide yourselves over, come join us at another upcoming Yiddish cabaret with appearances from many of our friends: "Halbe Levone" on 6 November at Galerie Zeitzone. This one-time event will bring together Yiddish (and Irish) poems, songs, and their intersections together with a few more art forms. What can we see in the dark? And what remains in the shadows?

And of course you should come to all of the other Shtetl Berlin events (singalongs, klezmer jam sessions, the dance ball, and more) and watch all the beautiful video portraits coming out all this month on Shtetl's social media!

At our fourth "Nu" in just one week, we will be welcoming Baltimore's Yiddish poet Zackary Sholem Berger, the author of at least five poetry collections, not to mention new poems by Berlin's Katerina Kuznetzova and fresh self-translations into Yiddish of fiction by David Starr and Guli Dolev-Hashiloni.

And of course, more performances in all sorts of art forms

Zackary Sholem Berger writes and translates in Yiddish and English. He lives in Baltimore, Maryland.

Yiddishists in Berlin have been celebrating Passover with a "third seder" since at least April 2022, when Shmues un Vayn held a "Pesach salon" as its fifth gathering. This announcement from back then proclaims "Let's sing, tells stories, chat, ask questions, read out loud, eat, drink, and so forth." The social club for Yiddish speakers will be hanging out at a bar for the 75th time this month. But even if you don't speak Yiddish, you can do all of these things next Thursday with Shtetl Berlin at Nu?2 Yiddish Open Mic & Third Seder | נו?2 דריטער סדר און ייִדיש־בינע.
