If you're able to clear your schedule for a week this summer, our Oil Painting Intensives are one of the most rewarding ways to learn.

Both intensives are taught by Louise Lenz and Hannah Turner-Duffin, offering students the opportunity to work closely with two practising painters in a small studio environment.
The experience is fully immersive. For five consecutive days you'll paint, draw, observe, discuss, and develop your work alongside a dedicated group of artists.
For those travelling from abroad, it can be an especially valuable experience. You're not only learning in the studio each morning, but becoming part of an active artistic community. Afternoons are often spent visiting galleries and museums, discussing painting, and exploring Berlin's rich cultural landscape. For one week, painting becomes the focus.
Throughout the intensive we'll cover drawing, colour mixing, composition, materials, paint handling, and the process of building a painting from start to finish, with individual guidance throughout.
The course is designed to give you everything you need to continue painting independently afterwards, with the confidence and technical understanding to develop your own practice. Equally, it can simply be a wonderful week dedicated entirely to painting, meeting other artists, visiting museums, and immersing yourself in Berlin's cultural life.
Small groups. All materials included.
