Burnt Sienna Art School Berlin. A private art school founded in 2016 and based in the heart of Neukölln, Berlin.

The studio offers art school academy level foundation courses in drawing and oil painting, workshops, residencies, lectures and exhibitions. Burnt Sienna Berlin is an organisation founded and based in the heart of Berlin's art district, Neukölln. Burnt Sienna provides classes and workshops including life drawing, painting tutorials, mentoring, portfolio reviews and studio visits in Berlin.

Delighted to announce a new Museum & Studio Drawing Course with artist .haycock.16 this September.

Over six Fridays, we’ll explore Berlin’s museums and galleries before returning to the studio to discover thoughtful new ways of translating the artworks we encounter into your own drawings.

An incredible opportunity to draw directly from works in Berlin’s museums alongside artist Jane Haycock — looking closely, slowing down and learning through the collections with an experienced practising artist.

This September, step away from everyday life and spend five full days immersed in oil painting, museums and Berlin’s art world.

Autumn Oil Painting Intensive Foundation Course

Mornings are spent in the studio learning the foundations of oil painting — underpainting, colour theory, composition, glazing and how to develop a finished painting.

In the afternoons, we head out into Berlin for curated museum and gallery visits, drawing exercises and direct engagement with painting in the city.

No previous oil painting experience is necessary. This is designed for complete beginners, returning painters, or anyone who has been longing to properly dedicate time to their painting.
