Singing bird > This lovely tiny vintage mechanical singing bird mechanism is from the 1890's. An interactive exhibit and art in one. I love it :-)

Very cute little vintage mechanical singing bird mechanism.Made in the 1890's in Paris, probably by Bontems. The mechanism was in a rusted and seized state and has been restored. Surprisingly even the bellows are in good original condition.

A group from MIT designed a system of projected people and animal silhouettes who walk along a piano and play it in real-time. Watch it at the link:

2000 steel marbles making the most wonderful music - this is indeed colossal!

This is the single craziest instrument we've ever seen. Powered by 2,000 marbles, the Wintergartan Marble Machine was designed over 14 months by musician Martin Molin. See it in action at the link:

Everbright: A Giant Interactive Light Toy That's Like a Lite-Brite for Grown-Ups

At 42x the size of a traditional 'Light-Brite' toy, the Everbright by San Francisco-based Hero Design is a huge grid of adjustable LEDs for drawing with light. But instead of only a limited selection of individual colors, the Everbright relies on 464 dials that change in hue as you twist

Technorama - Swiss Science Center

Rube Goldberg new interpreted - awesome! Who identifies the integrated typical science center exhibits?

Watch 1,650 Mousetraps Set Off A Massive Ping-Pong Ball Chain Reaction

One Time Exhibit > what a chain reaction!

In case fireworks aren't your thing, there's another great way to ring in the new year – by setting off thousands of armed mousetraps with ping-pong balls in an explosive video like this one! The dramatic launch of the initiating ping-pong ball looks like a spark landing in a barrel of gasoline.
