Three international theatre makers walk into a British drama school in Barcelona...
..and form Rule of Three Collective, who wouldn't have met if it wasn't for freedom of movement in Europe 🇪🇺

We wrote FREE EU ROAMING because we wanted to ask questions about the importance of our national identities 🇮🇪🇩🇪🇬🇧 Through theatre we hoped to find common ground in a restless Europe.

We worked hard to create characters who represented where we are from, desperate to make sense of the world around them. Along the way we had the pleasure of working in Spain and Ireland, embracing our status as European citizens, with incredibly talented artists and friends.

We found common ground between our characters and our nations, you could say we'd already found it between each other the day we shared our first patatas bravas (and maybe una cerveza) We also discovered a load of differences between us and learnt not to be afraid of those differences but embrace them.

Today marks a devastating day for the UK and for the other EU member states, but this won't be the end of our international collaboration.

We're as determined as ever to create work that hops borders 🇪🇺🇮🇪🇩🇪🇪🇸🇬🇧
