PONYHOF RODEO LAB #4 — Performance Focus DESCÍFRAME by Juana del Mar Jiménez Infante -

Descíframe is a scenic piece that offers an artistic experience centered on reconstructing a pre-Columbian body. Metallic sounds, chants, and percussion, combined with electronic rhythms, become calls to awaken past/ancestral memories. It raises the question of one's locus of enunciation and how to approach memories, technologies, and knowledge from other times from a contemporary, urban, and "mestizo" body. How can we access an ancestral memory through the body and movement? The piece is inspired by statuettes, totems, and artifacts created by indigenous cultures as part of their worldview and conception of the body.

QUIESCENT — Carolina de Vega
Who owns what the body sheds?

Quiescent is a solo performance and installation by Carolina de Vega that approaches extraction as both a physical fact and a historical condition.
Rooted in Argentina and its extractivist context, the work moves through autobiography, inherited loss, lineage and territory. The body becomes an archive: it holds memory, mourns, sheds, and leaves traces behind.
Images, written thoughts and organic residues come together in a work that stays deliberately close to discomfort.
What we accept as normal today, future generations may call violence.
What history persists after extraction?

PONYHOF RODEO LAB #4 — Sommerterrasse

Save the date!
We are thrilled to announce the fourth edition of Ponyhof Rodeo Lab, an open space dedicated to migrant, diaspora, and FLINTA* performing artists.

This is an invitation to encounter works in progress, share creative processes, and create connections between artists, neighbors, and audiences in Reinickendorf. One evening of performance, experimentation, exchange, networking, and conversation.

Summer in Berlin is short, but as autumn settles in, we gather once more on a Sommerterrasse, a warm threshold where summer refuses to fade. A seasonal anomaly where migrant artists come together to incubate ideas, trigger necessary collapses, and unearth ancient landscapes.

Meet the artists of Those Who Move Through Matter.

Gabriella Torres-Ferrer .gr works across installation, computational systems, found objects and material practices, examining how technological, economic and political infrastructures become materially present in everyday life.

Mohsen Hazrati explores the intersection of classical literature and digital technologies, using AI and database logic to recontextualise traditional narratives through contemporary technological frameworks.

Yupanqui Ramos works across performance, installation and video, critically examining colonial dynamics within environmental contexts and bringing biotechnology, ancestral knowledge and more-than-human histories into dialogue.

Together, their practices expand the idea of displacement beyond human movement, tracing how matter, technologies, biological resources and memory are transported, transformed and embedded with histories of extraction, migration and power.

Art Exhibition Opening

Bardo Projektraum is pleased to invite you to the opening of Those Who Move Through Matter, an exhibition featuring Gabriella Torres-Ferrer, Mohsen Hazrati and , curated by House of Half Ideas — Dzekashu MacViban and Kenan Khadaj.

Those Who Move Through Matter approaches displacement not only as a geographical or human condition, but as a movement that also takes place through objects, materials, technologies, memories, and ecosystems.

From soil, crops, and biological resources to data, technological infrastructures, and inherited narratives, the exhibition asks what happens when matter is removed, transported, transformed, or reclassified. Across installation, digital technologies, material practices, and performance, the artists explore how systems of extraction, colonialism, migration, and ecological transformation become embedded in the things that move through our lives.

Rather than treating the non-human as a passive backdrop to human displacement, the exhibition considers matter itself as a bearer of memory: materials retain traces of the economies, borders, technologies, and histories of power through which they circulate.

Together, the works of Gabriella Torres-Ferrer, Mohsen Hazrati, and Yupanqui Ramos bring ecological, technological, and cultural forms of displacement into dialogue, opening a space to think about what moves, what remains, and what is transformed along the way.

On 29 September, we’re opening the doors to share the ideas, questions and curatorial directions that will shape the programme next year.

We’ll introduce four curatorial territories for 2027 and talk about the many ways artists, curators, cultural producers, collectives and collaborators can develop projects with Bardo.

This is not only a programme presentation.

It’s a space to meet, ask questions, bring ideas, explore possible collaborations and think together about what could happen next.

G*T DREAMS BED ✦ Art exhibition + performance

What would a radiography of our dreams look like?

On October 1, The Pocket Gallery presents G*t Dreams Bed, an intervention by Mexican multidisciplinary artist Bolla Hiriart BOLLA HIRIART at Hotel G*t Point Charlie G*t Rooms Hotels.

Part of the ongoing project In Einer Katze, the intervention transforms an intimate hotel room through colour, texture and scent. Two artist-designed cushions and a bed runner turn the room into a temporary, living space, somewhere between the conscious and the unconscious, the everyday and the dreamlike.

The Pocket Gallery is a one-square-meter exhibition space inside Hotel G*t Point Charlie, curated by Karne Kunst. Open 24/7, it brings contemporary art into the everyday life of the hotel and expands beyond the gallery itself through performances, encounters and artistic interventions across the space.

For the opening of G*t Dreams Bed, the installation will be activated by a special performance bringing together visual art, body and space.
