Still on view at Bardo Projektraum:

ARCHIVUM NATURAE
with works by Ana Palacio and Andrea Nosetti

Through photography, installation and sculptural processes, Archivum Naturae reflects on the transformation of living organisms into archives, fragments and reproducible structures.

Birds displaced from altered ecosystems and digitally reproduced insects appear as traces of fragile living systems suspended between preservation and disappearance. The exhibition approaches nature not as an untouched landscape, but as a space shaped by memory, extraction, technological mediation and survival.

What remains when living beings become image, structure or data?
How do we relate to nature once it has been displaced into archives and artificial environments?

Artists: Ana Palacio .e.palacio and Andrea Nosetti
Artistic direction: Marcela Villanueva

Venue: Bardo Projektraum

On view until June 14, 2026

Introducing Andrea Nosetti, an Argentine artist whose work explores the transformation of biological forms through digital reproduction, fragmentation and sculptural processes.

In her work Lucanus cervus _0327.stl, Andrea begins with a digital file purchased online: a model of an insect that becomes the starting point for a series of 3D-printed forms. Through changes in scale and processes of fragmentation, the insect’s body moves from biological recognition towards abstraction.

What first appears as a natural specimen gradually becomes structure: isolated segments, enlarged surfaces and material traces that evoke archaeological remains or fragments of a mineral landscape.

Her work reflects on how living forms are translated into files, reproduced through technology and transformed into new material presences. The repetition of the model also recalls the symbolic tradition of scarab-shaped amulets associated with rebirth and cycles of life.

Her work will be featured in Archivum Naturae, a group exhibition with Ana Palacio exploring nature as archive, fragment and transformed habitat through photography, installation and sculptural processes.

Opening: 06.06.2026, 18:00–20:00
Location: Bardo Projektraum , Jessnerstraße 33, 10247 Berlin
The exhibition will remain open until June 14, 2026.

Introducing Ana Palacio, an Argentine artist whose work reflects on the relationship between living beings, altered landscapes and the act of looking.

In her series YAJNA, Ana works with images of birds from Patagonia, the vast southern region of South America, approaching them not simply as representations of nature, but as traces of habitats under pressure. Her works speak of species displaced by landscapes that have been intervened, administered and consumed.

Through images that adopt the appearance of documents, Ana addresses a central contradiction: to archive can be an act of preservation, but also an act of possession. Her practice questions what happens when the encounter with the living is replaced by observation, classification and representation.

Her work will be featured in Archivum Naturae, a group exhibition with Andrea Nosetti exploring nature as archive, fragment and transformed habitat through photography, installation and sculptural processes.

Opening: 06.06.2026, 18:00–20:00
Location: Bardo Projektraum , Jessnerstraße 33, 10247 Berlin
The exhibition will remain open until June 14, 2026

For Anatomies of Air at The Pocket Gallery, Berlin-based Italian artist Alice Brunello Luise transforms Berlin’s smallest gallery into a suspended landscape of photography, collage, shadows, and movement.

Developed specifically for the one-square-meter space of The Pocket Gallery, the installation explores intimacy, fragility, and emotional tension through hanging photographic mobiles and sculptural forms that descend almost to the floor.

Alice Brunello Luise works between photography, collage, and installation, creating delicate visual environments where bodies appear fragmented, partially hidden, multiplied, or dissolved into textures and transparencies. Her practice explores themes of identity, the body, resilience, and transformation through atmospheric and symbolic imagery.

Originally trained in Venice in both painting and photography, she has exhibited internationally in Milan, Venice, Helsinki, Berlin, the UK, Norway, and New York. Her recent projects include exhibitions and performances at NOTAGALLERY, Ringbar Gallery, Bardo Projektraum, Pandora Gallery, and IRIS Ceramica Gallery during Berlin Art Week.

Twice awarded first prize at the Mondadori Premio Arte (Italy), Alice has also collaborated with artist Iris Brosch during major international events including the Venice Biennale of Art and Architecture.
