Standing in the heart of Munich, the iconic Frauenkirche also known as the Cathedral of Our Lady has watched over the city for more than 500 years. Built between 1468 and 1525, this breathtaking Gothic cathedral is famous for its twin green-domed towers that define Munich’s skyline and can be seen from almost anywhere in the city. Constructed mainly from red brick, its minimalist Gothic design, massive interior halls, and legendary “Devil’s Footprint” make it one of Germany’s most fascinating landmarks. Despite heavy destruction during World War II, the cathedral was carefully restored and still stands today as a symbol of resilience, history, faith, and Bavarian identity. From the top of its south tower, you get panoramic views over Munich and even the Alps on a clear day. 🇩🇪⛪️✨
