This will be the concluding episode of the Global Oud Forum series produced by Abu Dhabi Festival, and will broadcast on June 15th at 8 pm GST / 4 pm GMT. Oud master Naseer Shamma, will perform three musical pieces prepared specifically for the forum, during the episode he will also comment on the idea and objectives behind the forum, and how the Global Oud forum is considered a full integrated artistic experience, binding leading craftsman from the world of oud luthiers, creative musicians and well informed musicololgists.

From Kuwait, a featured report will be included on Ya'aqoub Jasem from his workshop, and Fahad Mohsen Al-Bathali presents excerpts from his research on the role of music as a language for cultural communication between communities and what obstacles are apparent for how cultural content is made available in the digital world.

Episode one of the Global Oud Forum 2021 kicks off on May 25th at 08:00 PM (UAE time) and 04:00 PM (GMT), with performances by Bechir Gharbi of Tunisia, Faisal Al Saari of the UAE, Sadiq Jaafar of Iraq and a Trio performance by Islam Taha, Eslam Abdelaziz and Salma Mokhtar from Egypt.

The episode sheds light on the crafts of oud maker Amr Fawzi, who heads the Arab Oud House workshop in Abu Dhabi, a contributor of many innovations in the musical instruments manufacturing industry.
