CHAIM GEBBER / Open Scene was founded in 2014 under the artistic direction of Chaim Gebber. the body and its needs, limitations, and reactions.

Additionally, by collaborating with people from different origins we can understand how integrating differences also reveals commonalities e.g. For his Projects CHAIM GEBBER developed a system of improvisation and composition tools ( The Conscious Body System) that give a straightforward and pragmatic entrance to his exploration of body mechanism and perception. Projects like Love Matters (2007) ONE (2009) , Sharing Spaces (2010), SPELL (2012) , The Green Village ( 2013) and Body Play ( 2014) confirm and validate this direction of research in understanding and unifying the Humans as a unique “RACE”. CHAIM GEBBER uses in his works choreographic constellations and a deep understanding of movement to question cultural/ Social behavior in depth physical and emotional states.

What a magical moment catched by Nilmar Lage from our performance I AM A CELEBRATION by and with Chaim Gebber which took part at the 18th edition of the Brazilian Festival ENARTCi. It was a journey full of memories, sensations, blessings, laugh and people.
A special one in front of the historical heritage site, the Ipaneminha church with the participation of the Congado do Ipaneminha.

In THE REVERSE OF SUBLIME, Chaim Gebber-Open Scene unveils a choreographic landscape suspended between silence and emergence. The piece opens in a state of hovering - breath, weight and presence stripped of ornament, where the world seems to fade and the body becomes the sole witness to what remembers, what rests, and what is ready to rise.
From this quiet ground, echoes and memories ripple through the dancers‘ bodies. They sketch the textures of silence: its softness, its unrest, its pulse. The work does not seek surrender, but attention - a sharpened state of awareness that carries both the resonances of the past and the movement of what is yet to come.
Guided by gravity and breath, the piece transforms stillness into clarity, and solitude into a shared determination.
THE REVERSE OF SUBLIME poses essential questions:
What does it mean to pause? To listen? To rise - not from anger, but from strength? How does a collective awakening emerge from silence?
This new creation continues the company’s ongoing investigation into embodiment, presence, memory and relational movement, bringing a visceral and contemplative experience to Berlin’s contemporary dance landscape.
