Kent’s masterful compositions layer and loop the sounds of her cello, weaving electronics and field recordings into soundscapes that explore the intersections of humanity and the natural world. For this ethereal performance, Kent responds to the long-awaited reinstallation of “Ecologies of Painting,” a provocative exploration of how artists shape cultural conceptions of the natural world.

Originally released in 1995, "The Blue Moods of Spain" marked the unforgettable debut of Josh Haden’s Los Angeles band, blending jazz, blues, and indie pop into a timeless slowcore classic.

Tracks like Spiritual, Untitled #1, and World of Blue still echo with haunting beauty, and now, 30 years later, the album returns on remastered vinyl via Rhino Records.

To celebrate, Spain are hitting the road in 2025 with a special anniversary tour.

Josh Haden comes from a renowned family of musicians: he’s the son of legendary jazz bassist Charlie Haden, and brother to the Haden Triplets Petra (that dog., Foo Fighters, The Decemberists, Sean Lennon), Tanya (Silversun Pickups, Let’s Go Sailing), and Rachel (that dog., The Rentals).
