NEON ELECTRIC MUSES - Outboard gear lab & demo concert night

On November 28th, we move into the second appointment of .electric.muses a concept and event by , and .music.days , regularly taking place at .berlin /

“Neon Electric Muses is a living concept shaped by feminine souls and open to everybody.
As a space of exchange, connections and empowerment, it provides an open laboratory and music showcase, hands-on experiences, insights into personal creative processes, and deep dives into various tools and techniques with a focus on outboard gear. With every session, artists and educators of different circles, levels, technical approaches, and musical genres connect and explore FLINTA-driven and inspired processes and practices.”

In this second session, we host a 2-hour workshop with educator and musician Jacq Noise.
Jacky brings her modular rack, the Bullfrog synths and some drum computer to the stage and introduces the topics of subtractive synthesis and power of modulation. Later on, the group dives into live performance and find the balance of frequencies.

Better book it all in advance, but if you absolutely need to be spontaneous, you can pop by at BLOCK1 before 18.00! Just bring your headphones!

Doors open at 20.00 and from 21.00 Dumama and Natalia Escobar will share their performance setups – focusing on how they integrate some of their favourite gear into their creative processes. This open space will include a talk, Q&A, demo concert and possible collective performance. Elle Kai closes the night with an experimental DJ set.

Friday, 11.04.2025 > 18:00 - Bullfrog workshop with - 15-25€ sliding scale (includes following program) > 20:00 - open talk and demo concerts with and (www.camara.studio) - 10€  On April the 11th, we inaugurate a new bi-monthly event series taking place at .berlin / and organised by , and .music.days

In this first session we host a 1.5 hours workshop with educator and musician Jacq Noise. Jacky brings her modular rack, the Bullfrog synths and some drum computer to the stage and introduces the topics of subtractive synthesis and power of modulation. From 20.00, we will have demo concerts & talks followed by a closing jam and/or DJ set by the event’s guests: Saeko Killy and (Fatima) Camara will share their performance set ups – focusing on how they integrate some of their favourite gear into their creative processes. This open space will include a talk, Q&A, demo concert and possible collective performance.

In particular, Camara will focus on how she experiments with electric bass guitar looped with precious delay pedals, while Saeko will describe how she shapes live performances with Ableton and various synths, including her recent love - the YAMAHA Reface CS.

We look forward to this first appointment and to shaping this new concept together with guest artists and participants alike!

As we wrap up yet another year of creative community, we come back with the Winter Market and its complementary all-around Xmas party - together featuring art, fashion, live and mixed music, your dances, bonfires, laughs and sparkles, and of course all the yearly specials: Glühwein, Vegan Goulash and Wildgoulash, Sweets & Co.

The celebrations expand in size and length to throw a heartfelt “THANK YOU!!!” to our Cafe and its crew for having filled these last three years with smiles and sunshine, yumminess and warmth, music and art - sticking up with us from Covid to festival times, from sweaty dances to tranquil sips, from family life to pure wilderness and experimentation.
We are going to make this goodbye as sweet as it deserves to be!

‘GNOSIS INTEL’ marks the debut visual exhibition of Letizia Trussi, an Italian artist, singer, curator, and cultural activist based in Berlin. Comprising 15 still images extracted from real-time videos of her audio-visual project, Ark Welders Guild, in collaboration with Canadian musician Scott Monteith, aka
The selection of images derives from two specific tracks: ‘Skeleton Man’ and ‘The Drums of War.’ Through experimentation and extensive dialogue with machine models, Trussi translates the essence of lyrics and music into the visual realm, enriching their significance on different perceptual levels. Revealed within the process are Trussi’s interests in asemic writing, ancient anatomy texts, spiritual codices, and her creative exploration with paper, ink, and natural objects.
