Exciting news!!! Our first official show, SYNTHS featuring and opens on April 12th 🎉🤸🌞🍾

After 15 years of , we are now ruling the beautiful space in the Schillerkiez Neukölln Berlin, and we are very excited to start with such a show 😎🤩😎

Synths, as manifestations of the human impulse to replicate, reimagine, and reconstruct, is a group exhibition of three artists: Ken Wiatrek, Anna Lucia, and Marcel Schwittlick. Every piece on display serves as a testament to the myriad ways in which artists present the power of synths—be they mechanical contraptions, algorithmic systems, or abstract concepts—to breathe life into their visions.

Synths represent not only mechanical reproductions or musical devices but also serve as metaphors for the union of human creativity and technological innovation. The concept of synths explores the connection between the organic and the artificial, the human and the machine. Just as a drawing machine becomes a synth of the artist’s arm, other forms of mechanical reproduction or design serve as extensions of human expression. The resulting artworks possess a synthetic woven-ness, blending the tactile qualities of the human touch with the precision of mechanical processes. By embracing the concept of synths, artists are able to explore new realms of possibilities, pushing the boundaries of creativity and challenging traditional notions of authorship and authenticity.

We are thrilled to introduce Anja Musura , our first artist in the LC Artlab residency, and her project "Light".

"LIGHT is a continued series on the exploration of the power, presence and intensity of light – the unseen energy it retains, reflects and transmits. A study on existential process – light enters as energy into the atmosphere and exits onto the page – I am the conduit to place it. The process is to include minimalist, black and white digital photographs, digital drawings printed large-scale and/or digitally projected into spaces for immersive experiences to engulf the viewer and/or experimental abstracts. The materials I will use will be a camera, and/or a projector, an ipad, a laptop. The intent is to create a series that reflects the transformative energy of light in a minimalist, experimental format, and to invite the viewer into an immersive experience to interact, absorb, and be absorbed by the pieces. My intent is to communicate the unseen energy of light, to invite the viewer into the energy of the pieces – into a portal of the unknown".
