DROHNENTOD DRONEDEAD is available for preorder, with a CD DIY-kit.

A particular kind of war video strongly influenced the creation of Drohnentod Brain Dead. I follow a drone on its flight over the fields. Men are running and disappear off-screen. One person remains in the frame and stands still. He freezes, perhaps hoping to become invisible that way. Time itself also stops, and the image fades out.

I’m in Switzerland and experience the country as a global paradise. The contrast to the news is enormous. Above me lives a woman who fled from Ukraine with her teenage son. In summer I met Valdis. He is strong and beautiful, lives in the German metropolis, and somehow helps me. He is doing the cover for the fantastic Ghost Shadow Warrior, as well as the cover for the high plateau album Highlands. I hesitate a bit to ask him if he would also like to do the artwork for Drohnentod, because in a way it’s a lot to ask.

The album moves within the realm of esotericism. It has something sacred, eternally static about it. Stillness and noise. It’s an attempt at reflection during a time of transition — to prevent an inner collapse.
Maybe the album will help you to dive quietly into yourself and enter a kind of flow — to be a little melancholic and sort through your feelings.

We want to encourage listeners to request the PDF with the artwork and burn their own CD.

There will be a bunch of pre-made CDs manufactured by Great Fruit that I’ll be selling on request, but I really prefer that you burn one yourself (CD Artwork PDF in Merch).
