Statement regarding Sound Metaphors Event last Sunday.

We want to apologise to everyone who attended the Sound Metaphors event at Haus der Visionaire on Sunday, to the DJs whose sets were cut short or cancelled last minute and to the Sound Metaphors team.

Due to unforeseen circumstances at the venue, the party had to end much earlier than planned. We took the decision abruptly and without consulting with Sound Metaphors. We take full responsibility for the decision to stop the event.

We are already working with Sound Metaphors and the DJs involved to organise a make-up date later this year. This will be a free event for everyone who purchased a ticket for the August 30 party. We will share more information very soon.

Cassy: High level analog dance music with emotion and elegant restraint, delivered through a string of releases and albums on stalwart labels like Perlon, Uzuri, Aus Music and her own imprint, Kwench Records. A voice like no other that you’ve definitely heard before on that one classic. Yet apart from the studio, Cassy is an invigorating DJ and music selector in her own right.

Carl Finlow: An expansive catalog of pristine sonic production quality via explorations in electro and all sorts of funky tech, through 30 years of releases and albums, under multiple aliases. A master of his craft, he presents his own music for us live in Sonnenraum under his Random Factor moniker.

Cesar Merveille: The Parisian brings a percussive and jazzy touch to modern minimal house, and has been a longtime Visionquest collaborator through his DRM project with Ryan Crosson. His decades long friendship with Shaun Reeves will be in full display as they go back to back late into the morning.

Shaun Reeves: The Michigan native was a key founder of Visionquest, still running the label to this day with his cohort Ryan Crosson. An early Berlin transplant who held a notorious Club Der Visionaere residency for many years, the infamous Soul Shower, Shaun brings a distinct American vision of underground dance music to the night.
