Berlin. October 2026

A little strange, a little chaotic, exactly the right energy. October is for late nights, questionable decisions and doing your own thing.

Today’s Art Note: Buying art for your home.
Matching a work to your room can help you imagine it there. But it is only one part of the decision.

Before buying, try looking at the work on its own. What drew you to it in the first place? Do you want to see it again after you close the page? Your furniture and wall colour may change over time. The interest you feel in a work is a better reason to make space for it.
Choose something you want to live with, wherever you live.

Highlight Piece Week 39.

JONAH Nr°1 by JONAH.

I find it hard to look away from this painting. A bright green eye sits among dark, twisting forms, while the pink and red around it make its gaze feel almost human. The acrylic brushstrokes give everything a restless energy, as if the eye has just turned to meet yours.

This is Florentina.

Florentina, aka Flo, is a Berlin-born artist exploring the space between the human body and animals. Working with acrylic, color, and layers, she creates intuitive, evolving forms that blur the boundaries between human and animal. Her process is open-ended, allowing unexpected shapes and connections to emerge.

„Art is the most beautiful of all lies.“ - Claude Debussy

Today’s Art Note: You do not need to understand art.

Many people stay quiet around art because they are afraid of saying the wrong thing. But there is no test you need to pass before you can enjoy a work.

Information about the artist, material or idea can help you see more. It should support your own reaction, not tell you what to think. Art becomes more accessible when curiosity matters more than expertise.

You do not need the right words to have a real connection with art.

Highlight Piece Week 38.

RANCHO 33 by Fernando Sosa.

This work holds a quiet tension. Warm ochre and rust tones fill the room, interrupted by flashes of turquoise and magenta that feel like fragments of a private memory. The two figures share the same space, yet each seems absorbed in a world of their own.

Today’s Art Note: Why emerging artists leave galleries.

Most artists do not walk away after one disappointing exhibition. They leave when uncertainty becomes the normal state of the relationship.

A gallery partnership depends on communication and clear expectations. Artists need to understand how their work will be presented, how often they can expect updates and what both sides are working toward. Galleries also need artists who communicate openly, meet commitments and understand that building a market takes time.

Problems begin when representation exists only on paper. If there is no feedback, no strategy and no conversation about future opportunities, artists can feel invisible within the gallery roster. Sales matter, but so do introductions, thoughtful placement and consistent support.

Clear communication cannot guarantee success. It can prevent a promising partnership from quietly falling apart.

Highlight Piece Week 37.

BREAKUP by Frederik Anhalt.

Two minds pull away from each other while one exposed heart remains at the centre. Layers of red, pink and deep blue turn the body into an emotional landscape filled with longing, tension and vulnerability.

The work feels like that painful moment when love is still present, but no longer enough to keep two people together.

Some rooms ask for calm. Others ask for colour.

A quiet bedroom can hold a bold graphic work, while a soft Altbau wall lets texture and material take the lead. Large pieces can shape an entire room and smaller ones can turn an overlooked corner into something personal.
There is no single way to live with art.

The right work does not need to match your home perfectly. It just needs to feel right in it.
ARTCLUB makes finding that piece easier.

Today’s Art Note: Popularity does not define importance.

The work everyone recognizes is not always the work that reveals the most. Attention often follows what already feels familiar.

Experiments, quieter pieces and unexpected changes can show where an artist is truly heading. For artists, repeating a successful idea can create visibility but it can also become a limitation.

For collectors, looking beyond the obvious can uncover work that feels more personal and alive.

Importance is not measured by recognition.
