Our new SMM was… shocked to say the least. So we’re casually slipping it in right after the Oscars.

Last Cannes, Variety spotlighted the cast of “Après,” the French-language feature by Kirill Serebrennikov, now in post-production. Also starring Yang Ge.

Known for the cult series Chiki and three Cannes Competition films - Loveless (Jury Prize), Petrov’s Flu, and Tchaikovsky’s Wife.

Next up: Minotaur directed by Andrey Zvyagintsev and Matrőshki directed by Alina Yklymova.

DEUTSCHER KAMERAPREIS 2026 – NOMINATIONS

Huge congrats to our cinematographer Vladislav Opelyants 🖤 on his nomination for Beste Kamera – Fiktion Kino for Das Verschwinden des Josef Mengele, directed by Kirill Serebrennikov.

A second nomination for the historical drama comes in Bester Schnitt – Fiktion Kino for Hansjörg Weißbrich.

An international co-production, the film premiered at Festival de Cannes last year.

Felix Umarov won the Golden Eagle Award for Best Director for his debut feature «The Poet» last Friday, becoming the youngest winner in the award’s history.

The film led the year with a record-breaking 14 nominations and took home 7 Golden Eagle trophies.

It is headed for a theatrical release in the US soon.

Kudos to the producers and congrats to the entire cast and crew.
