We are excited about this new addition to our catalogue. We launched “36 Potplants” at Tokyo Art Book Fair in December and now the book is available in our Webshop.

“At the root of 36 Potplants lie 36 original artworks by .magdalena and . Each original piece is composed from two separate Risograph prints of potplants: the prints are made on canvas, then cut apart and hand-stitched together. The source material for these prints comes from a modest booklet titled “Topfpflanzen 1,” published in 1977 by ZBE – Berlin Flowers.”

Dead Pages No. 5: Parasites unfolds as an interspecies collaboration carved by bugs and completed by and .magdalena . In its fifth iteration, Dead Pages turns its attention to the strange intimacies between decay and desire. Parasite begins with a chance discovery: a Chinese manuscript from 1898, found by .magdalena and and Pogo in Tokyo’s Jimbo-cho neighborhood. The object itself was already transformed, its pages meticulously tunneled by an unknown insect. The bug’s silent labor etched filigrees through the paper, never touching the ink, as if respecting language while feasting on its vessel. From this devoured relic, the artists constructed a new book-object: a hybrid work where paper, image, and absence intertwine. Into the eroded manuscript they inserted images from a 1970s entomological dictionary—a taxonomy of the creatures that consume, preserve, and annotate through destruction. The resulting work, rephotographed and reassembled, forms the tactile architecture of Dead Pages No. 5.

Arriving back in Berlin after two weeks in Tokyo feels a little hard, but thankfully we found something really exciting waiting for us in four postbox—an article about us and a review of “And Then There Was the Night” by Diane Smyth in the latest issue of the British Journal of Photography

We are humbled and proud to finish the year with this prominent feature. Thank you Diane for inviting us for a lovely chat about our practice, studio and books, it’s been a true pleasure.

Grab yourself a copy to read more! 🤍

…in other news — “And Then There Was the Night” is NEARLY SOLD OUT!

We are really grateful, but also quite surprised that this title got so much attention, that we barely were keeping up with producing it. Never stayed on our shelf for more than couple of weeks, never more than 10 copies at the time. Now almost gone!
Looks like a lot of you are into cryptic vampire stuff 🦇

If you ever considered treating yourself to a copy, this would be the moment.

Link to our Webshop is in our bio.
Please note that as we are in Tokyo now, shipping will happen shortly before Christmas or early January 🙏🏻✨

The time has come — this week we are in Tokyo, getting ready and excited for

TOKYO ART BOOK FAIR started in 2009; the first book fair in Japan to specialize in art publications.
Held annually, it gathers independent publishers, gallery presses, bookshops as well as individual artists and groups. The fair has seen constant growth in its scale and content over the years, and the event now gathers more than 350 participants from Japan and abroad and attracts more than 20,000 visitors every year.
At the fair, visitors can communicate with and buy publications directly from hundreds of publishers and artists who create unique and innovative art publications; they can also enjoy various events including special exhibitions, talks/panel discussions and film screenings.

Starting this Thursday at 12:00 you’ll be able to find us in the Exhibition Space Booth no. 431
We are so looking forward to being back and presenting our work at this amazing event again. ♥️
