I received an illustration commission.
This time, the models are T-kun and S-kun, a pair of close brothers.
Using the reference photos, I’ll start with a sketch first.

The portrait piece has been completed.

In Japan, there is a tradition of treasuring a baby’s first haircut. Y-san, who commissioned the illustration, asked me if it would be possible to preserve their child’s first hair together with my artwork as a special keepsake.

This time, I attached the first hair to a little crown and combined it with my illustration. It turned out incredibly cute.

Whenever I work on a piece, I always feel so grateful and fulfilled knowing that my artwork becomes part of someone’s home and daily life. It’s truly one of the greatest joys of being an artist.

I find particular joy and fulfillment when drawing children. Seeing the reactions of the parents when they receive the finished piece is something I look forward to every time.

ポートレート作品完成しました。

日本では赤ちゃんのファーストヘアーを大切にする習わしがあり、イラスト作品のオーダーをいただいたYさんからお子さんのファーストヘアーを私の作品と一緒に記念に残したいとご相談いただきました。

今回は王冠にファーストヘアー付けて私のイラストと組み合わせてみました。
とても可愛く仕上がりました。

制作していていつも思うのは、私の作品が誰かお家に飾ってもらえて生活の一部になっていくというのは作家冥利に尽きるし本当に幸せな事だなと。

子どものイラストは描いていて特に楽しくやり甲斐を感じます。作品を手に取ったご両親のリアクションを見るのが毎回楽しみです。
