“A Serpent's Lullaby" is an interdisciplinary performance where Nana will shapeshift into a mystical archetype inspired by ancient myths of serpents and dark mysterious characters that carry the wisdom, secrets, and transformational energy pertaining to the natural ways of our earth. The dance & vocal performance by Nana, live and original composed music by Artik, costumes by Don Aretino, scenography by Alejandro Santamaria, lighting and more will sooth you to enter the liminal realm of the conscious and subconscious - the place where our shadows lie. She would like the audience to accept the majesticness and uncertainty of our natural world, dive a little deeper into what haunts us and tell ourselves that it's ok to be in the dark sometimes. This performance is also the reclamation of ancient myths where in historical archives they are exoticized, sensationalized and depoliticized. Are we dreaming? Or is this real life...either way, don't wake me up.

| casulo anónimo | (Portuguese for anonymous cocoon) is a 2 hour durational performance created for exhibition at

Synopsis : As both an installation and performance, the audience is free to enter in and out of an atmospheric experience and surrealist landscape that entails 3 creatures existing in a cocoon-nest. The audience witness’s the creatures enduring their natural cycles that are continuously repeated throughout the piece. Influenced by animals that create nests, such as spiders, we understand that they are weavers, makers, and protectors all at once, which is similar to the history and ancestry of womxn as divine weavers, makers, and protectors.

The nesting scene, monotonous and meditative actions by the performers, and industrial ambient music create a desolate terrain to reckon with how humans may need to evolve in order to survive the effects of their actions in history thus far, such as global climate change.

Synopsis:

INFINITUM is the new performance group between electronic music and dance with Jakojako composing and playing music, Nana directing movement, and Rima Baransi, Kai Chun Chuang, Ruben Nsue, and Nana dancing live. They will have their live debut as a group this Sunday as part of the Tresor Festival, where they will explore patterns of infinity that ubiquitously exist in nature, spirituality, culture, and our inner psychological worlds.

I fully believe that history is our best teacher to problem solve how we handle today’s current catastrophes. Here is a reading list on contemporary revolutions around the world. •
I recognize that I sit on an immense amount of privilege for having gone to an elite private academic institution such as NYU. It has never sat well with me that the wealth of beautiful knowledge and information is literally stuck in the world of academia due to the exclusivity of admission which is directly affected by race and class, as well as through often indecipherable language of academic jargon. So here I am leaking this reading list from a class I took on Uprisings with professor Lisa Duggan (sourcing). EVERYONE needs access to these works to better inform ourselves to properly strategize, organize, and fight.
I strongly recommend “Jackson Rising” as a first read 😘
