tête is co-financed and time-shared by a group of artists Each artist organizes one month per year individually. tête is an experiment in how to run an art space, artist run spaces usually being about collective decision making, tête is looking to create a cross section of artistic interests and will investigate as well as deconstruct any idea of ownership and community in the art space and between the artist organisers themselves.
With this in mind, tête has the potential, even destiny, to become an art space as social experiment. The world would not be as interesting and dynamic if economic or financial arrangements remained exclusively economic or financial.

"Further still, artists, both during and after the pandemic, have a lot to offer in terms of allowing us to dream of and practice new social relationships, new economic paradigms, and new structures of care. This has already been one of the most exciting tendencies in “art” in the past decades: a little platform by which radical activists in the belly of the beast license themselves to misappropriate resources and dream dangerously in public."

Danke an @berlinmastersfoundation für die Unterstützung!
Countdown läuft! Wir freuen uns sehr auf die Vernissage morgen Donnerstag ab 18:00!
MUST SEE: BERLIN MASTERS 2019 Finalist Jonas Büßecker will take over the project space "téte" for a five day residency. He will further his practice of incorporating the exhibition space — from the walls to the floor to the ceiling — within his sculptures which hang, stretch and create tension from thin chords.
As viewers, we are invited to embark on our own journey into the heart of the installation, that — with more or less distance — will allow us different perspectives on the installation, the space, the artist and our regard on it.
IN SITU
An installation by Jonas Büßecker,
with the support of Collection Libre.
Vernissage November 7th 18:00
Showings by appointment from November 8th to November 21st.
