Cynthia was a model, an influencer, a socialite, a celebrity and a household name in the USA in 1937. But unlike other celebrities of her day, she was dismantled into pieces at the end of her day and stowed away in a body bag. Cynthia was a mannequin. Her creator, Lester Gaba, a window display designer in New York City, became her manager, puppeteer and chaperone. He escorted her to dinner clubs, theater premieres and fashion shows, as well as performing for her and responding to her adoring fans on her behalf.

Featuring Berlin Drag King Alexander Ca****oe as Lester Gaba, with his world animated by an ensemble of puppeteers. Let this delightful fever dream of a show take you down the slippery slope from entertaining spectacle into the uncanny valley.

Rüstung, Reveal und Skulpturen zum Anziehen
Workshop mit Alexander Ca****oe

Im Drag geht es darum, große Silhouetten auf die Bühne zu bringen – doch mit herkömmlichen Schnittmustern ist das oft schwierig. Wie bekommt man riesige Schulter-Pads aufs Kleid? Wie verwandelt man eine Jacke von Humana in eine Cyborg-Rüstung?

Lernt an drei Abenden mit Drag King Alexander Ca****oe, wie ihr Volumen in eure Kostüme einbaut und eure Looks aufs nächste Level bringt. Der Workshop ist so konzipiert, dass jede*r sein ganz persönliches Projekt mitbringen und umsetzen kann.

Tag 1: Materialkunde und Design  
Tag 2: Volumen aufbauen, Reveals einbauen, Befestigungen  
Tag 3: Ästhetik, Texturen und Veredelungen

Habt ihr schon lange eine Idee für eine Performance, wisst aber nicht, wie ihr sie umsetzen könnt? Oder fehlt euch noch der letzte Schliff für euren neuen Look? Dann ist dieser Workshop genau das Richtige für euch!
