No hay día en que no la vea
acercarse a las cosas por primera vez,
No hay día en que no la tome de la mano
y la lleve a su hora de sol,
que la peine y le desenrede la incontrolable,
que le lea el horóscopo,
que la conduzca a la zona precisa
donde no se le quemen los ojos.
No hay día en que no le riegue la espalda
como a un tierno laberinto,
en que no le ofrezca una fuente
donde remojar la vida,
en que no la vea por la rendija lamerse las palmas
y desorbitarse más flexible que nunca
en las revelaciones del calor infinito

Two regions in Peru have passed laws giving stingless bees the right to exist and thrive, recognizing their role in pollinating crops and sustaining the Amazon ecosystem.

The move is part of a growing effort to protect nature through legal rights—while also honoring the deep cultural connection Indigenous communities have with these bees.
