Angela Yvonne Davis (1944) is an American political activist, philosopher, academic, scholar, and author. She is a professor at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Author of over ten books on class, feminism, race, and the US prison system.
In the 1960s and 1970s, Davis was known for being member of the Black Panthers Party.
In 2020, she was included on Time's list of the 100 most influential people in the world.
So let her be it :-)

The sweetest monsters ever!
One eats humans, the other eats monsters that eat humans (he has electric hands). There's one called Einhorn Ketchup, drinks cola and has bird houses on its belly and another one that brings babies on its lap with his hands on fire. Regenbogen Miccio, the cat eater, can never eat a cat because they run away, he eats some french fries with ketchup instead, that's why his teeth are dirty with some red color - it's not blood.
All made by 6yo artists, except for one: (44yo)

THE VISIT OF MAX BILL
Thinking about modernity in Brazil implies revising the works of certain artists who have been protagonists of episodes of rupture in the local as well as in the international cultural arena. Starting from the work of the Swiss architect, artist and designer Max Bill, as one of the main influences in the transition period from Figurativism to Abstractionism in the 1950s in Brazil, my research proposes a review of the impact of the theoretical problems of concretism developed at Bauhaus and later at the Hochschule für Gestaltung Ulm (School of Design Ulm), in the Brazilian context.
Concrete Art arose in São Paulo under the impact of Max Bill’s solo exhibition at MASP in 1950 and his participation in the 1st São Paulo Biennial, in 1951. At that time, figurative art no longer answered the questions that were rising and a new form of art was needed. The European
modernity project then gave voice to the idea of progress in Brazil, from visual arts to the new capital Brasília. This discussion, which took place more than 60 years ago, reflects current political and social phenomena, from subordinate social relations to the focus of this research: artistic identity of the country.
The visit of Max Bill is a series of appropriations.The paintings incorporate the different languages of figuration and abstraction. The vegetation negotiates the canvas with geometric patterns that quote Max Bill’s paintings. In other paintings, I appropriate Bill’s iconographic motifs and combine them with works by concrete and neo-concrete Brazilian artists, such as Luiz Sacilotto, Hércules Barsotti, Lygia Clark and Hélio Oiticica. These combinations, through arrangements, neighborhoods and overlaps, create a new standard and its own content.
