FELIX SCHÖPPNER for THE SKY LOOKS AMAZING FROM HERE

Felix Schöppner’s interest in the phenomena of the universe is fed by an almost childlike enthusiasm. The photographer tries to fathom the theories and laws of the universe by building models out of everyday objects. The carefully staged arrangements of his series Cognition are based on knowledge that Schöppner acquires through visits to observatories and exchanges with scientists.

TAIYO ONORATO & NICO KREBS for THE SKY LOOKS AMAZING FROM HERE

SHARON HARPER for THE SKY LOOKS AMAZING FROM HERE

Harper’s series „One Month, Weather Permitting“ is a series of photographs of the night sky over Banff, Alberta. Set up within the framework of an experiment, the photographs capture long-exposure star trails for two or three consecutive nights on a single sheet of film throughout the period of a month. These images map the movements of the camera apparatus with the external motions of the earth.

ANGELA BULLOCH's for THE SKY LOOKS AMAZING FROM HERE

Bulloch's Night Sky series show the fascinating patterns of galaxies and star constellations. The works are complex LED pieces that convey an animated image of the night sky - but from a point of view that is not our planet but rather a specific point in the universe. Gently flickering, the points of light simulate the changing starry night scape. The sky surely looks amazing from here...
