Shybits is a Berlin based post punk garage rock trio made up of friends Liam from Brighton (Guitar & vocals), Piero from Italy (Bass & vocals) and Meg from South Africa (drums). The fuzzy, feel-good sound is reminiscent of post punk and 90s garage rock and has been described as "Beach Boys suntan nostalgia meets Beatlesesque bedroom pop".

Cosey Mueller is an artist/musician currently living and working in Berlin. Interior Escapes was her solo debut, a project recorded during the 2020/2021 pandemic times. At the moment she is working on a new album which is to be released in fall 2022. Analog sounds, Lofi aesthetics, experimenting with simple synth melodies, repetitive dancy beats and expressive vocals characterise her music.

In order to keep culture alive – we all have to do our part. And we don’t need to tell you that, since you all already went the extra mile and got vaccinated and tested before coming to the festival. No measures are 100%, however, and we do know of at least one case on Friday night of someone who tested negative before the festival but positive afterwards. This is just a reminder that our responsibility does not end at the door, so please double check afterwards and get tested to make sure you are not passing the virus along. Thanks for understanding.

With the added entry checks for Covid passes, we are opening doors 2 hours earlier on Friday the 19th at 16:00 and advise you to arrive as early as possible.

We're pleased to announce two final additions to the sold out SYNÄSTHESIE VI. The festival will kick off on Friday at 5pm with 'Opening Words' featuring a talk with Berlin legend Mark Reeder (B-Movie: Lust and Sound in West-Berlin 1979-1989) and festival founder Alex Remzi, hosted by Eddie Argos (Art Brut), discussing the Berlin Underground Music Scene 1979-2021.

We are also very proud to introduce the Berlin band XPLAISIRx, whose debut album 'Foam' hits shelves this week on November 18th, one day before their performance at Synästhesie. Plaisir presents darkly seductive soundscapes infused with gentle spoken word and surrealistic poetry in English and French, blending the melodic fuzz of shoegaze and dream pop with the stripped down, lo-fi aesthetic of post punk.

With the festival fast approaching, we wanted to remind everyone of the Corona precautions we're taking. We have limited the festival to 50% of 2019 festival capacity, so there will be space for everyone to keep the distance they feel comfortable with. This is well below present restrictions. We took these precautions based on a worst case scenario. If this had not been necessary, we would have sold more tickets at the door. We are ruling that out for the safety of everyone that already bought tickets. The 2G rules will be strictly enforced. Furthermore, we ask you to consider masking wherever distance is not possible, and respect the wishes of others who may wish to protect themselves more or less than you do.

Due to the extreme rise in cases the past several days, we ask guests to present a negative certified Free Rapid Test/Schnelltest no older than 48 hours at check-in. We will make an exception to the ticket return policy in the event of a positive test result until 15:00 on Thursday 18.11.21 if certified test results are provided when returning the ticket (certified Free Rapid Tests/Schnelltests suffice if the name matches the ticketholder's name). There is a test centre directly on-site at Kulturbraurerei which is open until 10pm on Friday and Saturday: https://en.coronazentrum-kulturbrauerei.de/

Don't forget to bring your digital vaccine certificate with a QR code and a valid ID. QR codes from the EU and UK (NHS) certificates are valid, but certificates from outside the EU can’t be verified. We also recommend installing the Luca App or Corona Warn App for contact tracing purposes.

On Friday doors will open 2 hours earlier than usual at 16:00 in order to allow for vaccination and identification check.

Da das Festival immer näher rückt, möchten wir alle an die Corona-Vorsichtsmaßnahmen erinnern, die wir treffen. Wir haben die Festivalkapazität auf 50 % der Festivalkapazität von 2019 begrenzt, damit jeder den Abstand einhalten kann, mit dem er sich wohlfühlt. Vergiss nicht, deinen digitalen Impfpass mit QR-Code und einen gültigen Ausweis mitzubringen.
